Great program
I have used this program for a number of years and it is a easy to use and precise program. The refund Turbotax tells me I will recieve is always exact to the penny. I won't use another tax program ever!

Print problems
If you want to print just the Summary, it does not let you do this. Also in looking at the summary, it does not include the new environment tax credit, so the numbers do not add up at the bottom.

Interview and Review Tips
I have used TurboTax and its predecessors for over 20 years. The recently enhanced Interview process does a great job of guiding the User easily through all the basic tax return information entry items.
For many items, TurboTax also triggers suggestions or questions to consider.
The Sum Up and Review is great to catch errors and find additional items or actions to consider.
The Optimization feature suggests changes to reduce 2018 tax, or to carry forward things like Donations and Medical Expense which were not deductible this year due to my low income .. these will save 2019 tax since my Income will be higher.
Other great features are the various detailed Carry Forward sections for information from previous Tax Returns which help me to reduce Tax by using certain deductible items not previously claimed.

a little more clarity in the tax splitting areas would help. for claiming house taxes, there should be a box to mark which is the better choice.

Convoluted
Overall, good product. Too much up selling embedded in program. Filing works good, but the new feature about instant view of assessment fails, as setting up an account with CRA is a nightmare and virtually impossible.

Just 1 Issue
A couple of years ago I discovered that, for cases like ours, TurboTax does not optimize for minimum tax payable. The issue has to do with charitable donations (ours are a significant % of net income). TurboTax advises that 1 spouse claim the full amount of their combined donations. Following that advice results in the person claiming donations paying zero provincial tax -- hence a portion of the non-refundable donation tax credit is wasted. Minimum tax is achieved only by splitting the donation total between spouses.

very easy to use
Very easy to use, and links in nicely with CRA. the smart tips give great suggestions for things you may no have thought of to claim.
My only complaint is when it came to deductions it skipped some sections like medical and student. Luckily I was looking for where to claim so it was easy to go back. I get it is trying to streamline the process but it is not that much time to simply go through each section.

Smart purchase
Turbo Tax has always been an excellent purchase. Well worth the money spent, however this year it seems to be a bit more confusing. Once filed it continues to loop through the option to print or save, it doesn't exit the program as expected or let you begin a new return. You need to do that step manually. A bit confusing for first time users I'm sure. They need to fix that glitch. Also had a bit of trouble entering my RRSP contribution. It seemed to skip that part. Found it eventually, but again for first time users this may get missed.

Was happy with the product, but STILL have one major issue. I would like to see an area at the end of the questions portion that allows you to go back and play with the contribution amounts for RRSP's in the first 60 days of the CURRENT calendar year so that any taxes owing can be minimized by changing the contributions made for self and spouse.
