Good but hard to re-file
Original filing worked pretty but I missed a couple of things. Tried to re-file online as CRA says I can. But trying to get Turbotax to do it is a real pain. Still have not been able to make it happen. Easy to fix my mistakes but it does not want to let me netfile again.

Good, but could be better.
Worked great, except for entering medical expenses. Several of them would not be added to the Medical Expenses Worksheet (and thus not be entered on Line 330). Had to spend a lot of extra time re-entering this information before it would finally work.

save and save again
Whenever I exited the program some of my work was erased and had to be re-entered when I started up again. This is not a deal breaker but it is a pain in the neck...

Stable Application
Have used this program for many years and recommend it for most users. Area to improve would be a more direct link from the easy step pages to the forms to help speed up going back and forth to verify how data is entered.

Turbotax
Used it for many years. However this version seemed a bit quirky. It crashed after I completed my deductions. Had to re-enter everything after a re-boot. Unusual.

Very Good
I pretty much know everything to enter on my tax return so I don't need the guided step-by-step instructions, but it's pretty user-friendly. I would recommend it to anyone, whether you know nothing about tax or you have experience doing your taxes.

Solid Product
I have used Intuit income tax software since 2002. It has simplified the task of completing returns for my spouse and myself because related information is shared between the two returns. Life has been very much simpler now that I no longer have to manually complete four cross-linked returns for Quebec residents. The program did not allow me to alter a medical deduction using the simplified interface, as it only wanted to add a new deduction to those already entered -- I had to go directly to the form to alter the entry, and that task required some hunting around to find the panel that allowed the amounts to be edited. The wizards for charitable contributions and medical expenses also caused some difficulty, as it was not possible to select the start and end of the calendar year and have the program decide which spouse should claim the deduction -- the program kept changing the date window to a range that did not make sense. Otherwise the program worked fine.

Very good service
Overall turbotax is quick and easy to use; gets the job done with a minimum of fuss.

First time ever error
I have used Turbo Tax for years and have been completely satisfied. The same is true this year except that, for the first time ever, there was a mistake. In the section on Provincial tax credits Turbo Tax asked what my school tax assessment was for 2016. Yet the CRA form showed that the question was supposed to be about the assessment for 2017, as was logical. I almost filled in the wrong information until I noticed the error.

problem
we ran into problems on tax return deadline. we tried to net file the returns and kept getting rejected due to time out issues. we tried 5 times and got locked out. we then printed a copy to mail and rushed out to beat the mailing deadline at 10pm. turns out the copies the system printed were marked duplicate, do not mail , mailed anyway due to deadline

Error
There is a bug when checking foreign income on my return on schedule 4, line 16 double click & the incorrect input box opens for Federal Slips of my return. This Box should open for percentage income shared from my Husbands return.

I initially purchased the product (basic program for 2014) and accidentally excited before downloading the product from the receipt. Was unable to retrieve the receipt to download. Had to purchase again. Should be some king of bold warning! Is there a way to get a refund?

Great produce will be better next year.
This was my first time to use and once it was confirmed to me that the "Free" version needed to be upgraded due to my personal financial needs all went well.
I did need to call in and pay an additional fee for an "expert" to review and double check my fillings however that only added to my peace of mind. For a first time user I was pleased with the overall process and will now use Turbo Tax in filling future returns. The "experts" I was in contact with were very knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant.
