Worth doing.
I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years. It's user friendly and has a lot of helpful tips if you happen to get stuck. It's certainly worth trying and will very likely save you considerable funds.

good but needs work
easy for the most part however it does not maximize tuition transfers for my multiple children in post secondary. I had to manually do this. Also there is a loop at the end that would not let me exit without doing an "x" at the top. Good otherwise.

Very good Software
Been using Turbo Tax for many years. Software continues to improve. The only problem I found when doing my returns this year, were on some input forms, some fields overlapped value boxes with text.

less easy than last year
I tried Basic first then wondered about the difference with Standard, plus Standard allows 8 returns, basic only 2. Could not get data from CRA for auto fill of wife's return. They considered her a client. Came up with same refund from Basic and Standard.

Could use a modern touch.
Generally competent, as you would expect of a product this mature. A lot UI clunkiness. Has a hard time with window snapping. Often won't accept copy and/or paste. Doesn't understand typical punctuation ($, space, comma). Can't split capital gains easily. Lists should expand automatically when you use up available space. I.e... you're a computer form, not a piece of paper, so ACT LIKE IT.

improves every year
both TurboTax and CRA capabilities improve each year, in tandem.
the only quibble I would have this year is that, during the final review, it asks you more than once whether you want to use the same tax-saving opportunities, which can be somewhat confusing.

Great program but Script Error messages annoying
Used Turbo Tax again this year - have been using it for 10+ years.
Easy to use, and very helpful transferring data from previous years to complete Current Year.
Very easy to NetFile.
My only complaint this year (and why I don't give 5 stars) is the Script Error messaging when transitioning between every screen, requiring several attempts to close the window box.
I was using Windows 10, and with the most recent TurboTax updates.
The message was:

Print too small
I found the print size of the T slips entry too small. I could adjust the Forms font with the +/- tab but I could not find a way to enlarge the T slips entry area. I tried Control + as well.
I suggest for 2018 there be a way to enlarge it.

I found it very confusing and hard to navigate around the tuition amounts and giving the credit to a parent . I was difficult to get back to the 2202 screen after I found out that there was more provincial credit available in order to change the amount that was being sent across

Good
I have used it for years for my own taxes but this year had to use it for my deceased Mom. There were 2 small things that could have been handled better - for a deceased person there is no need to mention that for the next tax year they can save more by using a TFSA and the Date format entered in TurboTax for date of death does print correctly on the printed forms that must be filed with CRA. Phone help was timely and good.

Fast and Efficient
I've been using TT for over 5 years. Great product.
One minor quirk in this year's version. It didn't print my CRA returns and I had to resolve through customer service. Took over 30 minutes and I had to uninstall/reinstall. I wouldn't expect it to take so long (really, it's just an update right? .....)

The software needs to add lines to the Form 1135 Section 7 where it limits to 3 currencies. When an investor has more currencies then you should be able to enter all the currency. Otherwise the taxpayer needs to submit a paper copy.

Good but needs some tweaks
I have been using Turbo Tax for years and this is the first year that I found it less intuitive than previous versions. There are some circular references and functions that are VERY annoying when all you are trying to do is move on to the next step. I find that it has been dumbed down to the nth degree for all those of vapid intellect who cannot do ANY thinking for themselves and therefore require to be led by the hand as you would a child. Otherwise it does the job, but I preferred the format from a couple of years ago. What are you going to do - progress!!!

Better than Online edition
I am not sure about Pension splitting logics of Online edition. The reason for this is I tried both "Online" and "Downloaded" editions, and they didn't return the same results.

Loved it before, not so much now
Handling of Industry Code for small business was terrible experience.
I spent one hour checking out Gov. of Canada and Statistics Canada to find code. The two sites were contradicting and all TurboTax was saying: "incorrect" and "Fix", with no help whatsoever.

multiple jurisdictions
The biggest drawback ot Turbotax is not being able to complete the entire tax report using multiple juisdictions. I need to do that par tby hand and then change the provincial tax amount.

problems I had
TurboTax did not start well had to restart few times....turbotax said I had not submitted returns for 2014---2016????---probably because of start---probably did not load previous years return information into current year....could not get it to work---very upsetting
and it keep on asking about --did you sell property???

Easy to use but with glitches
In general, Turbo Tax is very easy to use. This is my second time to use Turbo Tax; I did not have a problems last year. But this year "Script errors" kept on coming up every steps. Read from previous reviews that these have happened before. I am wondering how Turbo Tax is fixing this problem. Menu in saving temporary files to come back to is also not easy in Turbo Tax, I have to restart twice because my "saved files" kept on disappearing although previous menu told me these were saved. I finally have to sit down and finish on one setting.

Easy to use, but there's a bug with T1135
Overall the software was easy to use. I only encountered one bug. The section for entering T1135 info. does not accept explicit 0.00 values for fields like "Income" and "Gain". If you try to enter 0.00 Turbotax converts it to a blank. Later, during the review stage Turbotax complains about the blank values that Tubotax itself created by saying "You must ensure that you have entered information in either Part A or Part B, as applicable."
CRA says T1135 fields should contain explicit 0.00 amounts. Turbotax therefore should not convert them to blanks on T1135.
