Good but frustrating
Overall it was very good but I found it very frustrating trying to go back to double-check or change items from previous steps.
Also, some of the warnings/errors were frustrating to understand and/or resolve.

Disability Transfer Software Issues
Software needs to be changed so that disability amount can be transferred from disabled dependant to parent. If check off that dependent is disabled the tax credit automatically goes to the son/daughter even though he/she has no taxable income.
Other than that, I find TurboTax great.

Disability Tax Credit has a flaw
My wife and I have a special needs child. TurboTax correctly calculated the disability transfer, and chose it for me to deduct. However, if I choose that my spouse deducts it, we get a larger joint refund. I thought TurboTax was supposed to maximize our returns?

Getting easier to use with each passing year
Normally I LOATHE doing taxes, but this is getting easier with each passing year. Can't say I'm having fun yet (they are taxes after all) but it's getting mercifully faster.

Easy to use
I liked easy step. only issue for me was when printing the document there were too many pages with nothing on it. Instead of printing 30 pages it could have been done on 10

Great program.
Easy steps work like a dream. Got a little puzzled with
income splitting. The great part of Turbo Tax is that they have a immediate help with a proper CRA rules and explanation of who, where and why.
Love the software and been user for over 10 years as far as I can remember
the other great thing is that you can download a lot of info from the previous years.

Cheap and simple enough
I've been doing my own taxes forever, so this is just a more simple and fast way to prepare them.
However, if you are not familiar with tax rules, I find this program is sometimes confusing.
overall, I'm happy with it considering the cheap price.

Easy to use for the most part, somewhat confusing handling marital status for a deceased person. Ignore pop ups to upgrade. Had trouble getting out of a return, just goes into a loop, finally just had to X out of it

Great, but getting expensive!
I have been using Turbotax for many years now. I find it does get easier each year and this year's improvements were really great. I was particularly impressed with this year's version. I got finished in no time!
With that said, I am paying more for it each year and I am starting to think that it is getting too much. Also, how many returns does an average person need with one copy of the software? Is that what I'm paying for?

Time saver and Accuracy improver
My 4th year using Turbo Tax and I think that I am finally getting the hang of how it works. When you only use it once a year and you are a senior it is hard to remember the routine. I am at time frustrated with the green number blanks. When you double click the green blanks for medical expenses and investments, etc it does not always take you directly to the first worksheet that you need. Sometimes you have to scroll down through several pages to find Page 1. Having done yearly returns on paper for 8 to 10 persons, this program is a godsend.

Help Section is not very helpful
Many of the questions that our family needed answers to were not in the help section. This has been the same case over the years. There is very little help to answer questions that are not based on a "normal" family life scenario. Many families are split, have children that are in shared custody and other such situations. The help section is useless for these scenarios.

I have used Turbotax from before the time it became so named. At that time, it was called Quick Tax as I recall. And since those days, I have not been disappointed in the product and/or the final results.
Irritants do however include the popups that encourage one to spend more on upgrading the program or purchasing add ons. That's not really appropriate in the midst of filing a return.
And, when it comes time to save, print and file the return, the procedure seems to be somewhat circular. It might be more appropriate in the future to have a completed box for each element to indicate that the return has been saved, it has been printed and it has been filed either as a Netfile or a Print file. Just a few suggestions.
However, on the whole, the product is excellent and it will continue to be my go to product for tax returns despite the minor irritations.

GreatProduct
I have been a user of turbotax for many years now. My one criticism of the 2016/2017 versions is how you default to claim the Working Income Tax benefit and in 2016, there was no warning for full-time students. I caught that this year, but the program asked if I wanted to claim this. I think you should clearly indicate that full time students are exempt from this tax benefit.
Other than that, great program.

Long Time Customer
I have used Turbo Tax since 2004. Each year its is improving and becoming easier to use. I do taxes for my whole family (6) and the program saves me a lot of time. Tips, look up`s and just jumping around so easy. See you next year Turbo Tax

Endless loop
Over all the Turbo Tax has been an excellent product thru the years. I only have one complaint this year. When i was finished my income tax and it requests at the end do you wish to do another income tax or end it loops me back to the CRA SCREEN
