T1M Issues
I was slowed down in the process of completion due to the Software not recognizing an amount which was being carried over from a filing from previous year. The previous years filing was easily imported into the file but it took a few email questions and responses from the TurboTax AnswerXchange to clear up the issue. After a few days and some over rides of field I was able to complete the process.

Works as expected
For the past few years I had a pro do my taxes. As it turns out, they missed a credit and cost a lot of money. Decided to go back to doing my own. Turbotax found that same credit the pros missed. Saved a bunch of money doing it myself.

Did not like the diversion at end. Leave out giving list of friends. Could not exit page. Had to close program to finish. could not close this page even when i finished your survey unacceptable

Charitable receipts needs work
Turbotax was very easy to use, except for how charitable receipts are entered. The help program was almost useless and I wasted at least an hour trying to find where and how to enter my charitable donations.

Love the new layout
The new Easystep tree on the left side made navigating around the tax return steps easier IMHO. Had a problem with the 'Help' button not launching the help window on my PC, but I was able to find the relevant info easily on the Intuit Turbotax website with a simple Google search.

Endless Loop at the end
I would have given all 4s or 5s but I became annoyed with TT (as I do every year) with the end less loop at the end about saving, printing, open another file, etc.
It makes a great experience a good or mediocre experience.

Good product but have suggestion
I have used turbotax for several years now and have never had an issue with the product. I find it very easy to use and have never had a need to get any support.
The one thing that I don't like is that it will not pre-populate general information from the previous return. Considering I have been a loyal customer I just find that this feature should be included. I view it that turbotax is just cheeping out on this capability and just forcing you to pay more money for this feature. To be honest this is the only thing that ticks me off about the product.

Great product
I have been a user of turbo Tax since 2010. Turbo Tax has become a very refined software product over the years with respect to ease of use. The only complaint I have is I purchase the product from a retailer in January of each year for the standard price and in March I notice some retailers always put the product on a discounted price.

Problems
The program did not pick up basic info from last year's return as it has in the past.

This year (2017 Tax return) we have repeated issue with Turbo crashing at the last stage of preparation. Nothing has changed with our family situation or else so it was obvious that problem was new to software. We did not download new new apps or such and after using this software for decades it was not that we did something "outrages". Had to reenter data, save it ., crush... re logon and continue with until done.

Sounds Easier than it is
Think the basic concept is good however for trickier and more detailed questions, it is not easy to navigate. Given that this was the recommended product from Intuit by Intuit, it didn't quite meet my expectations, especially since this was the second time using it. Furthermore, it's a bit ridiculous that the choices go from one, single return to eight returns. What about the thousands of couples who don't need six extra returns? Would be great if those extra returns could carry over to the next year for an upgrade fee as opposed to the full amount. Another issue: the warnings and tips don't seem to really take into account what information is put in. Even though I answered questions, the same warnings kept coming up, and they really had nothing to do with our situation. One last thing, the Audit Defense and the Pro-Review: heck, if I paid for both of those on top of the cost of the package, I would go back to our accountant and pay just about the same and not have to spend a ridiculous amount of time scrolling through pop up windows that come up with error messages, or answer repeat questions, or look for benefits that are suggested that end up not having anything to do with our situation.

There is one thing missing:--A button to press that would allow me to start the return from the begging using the easy step.
Also a way to know how much to remove of say extra medical claims that are over the claim amount for the year and hold over until the next year.
good product except for the two above issues.

I have used your tax program for approx. 20 years. This is the first time I have had trouble with it. It did not import last year's return properly so I entered everything. When working with it, I didn't feel as though I was getting the information reported that I needed to. I did, however, get it done.

Wasted Paper
I have used Turbotax (& its predecessor) for over 20 years - it is an excellent product.
I wish I knew, however, why it continues to print out the Professional Income Summary & Statement of Business / Professional Income Summary when I closed down my personal business YEARS ago. This year, it printed some of those pages TWICE! Also, when I clicked to print the CRA NetFile confirmation page, it spewed out THREE pages - and 2 of them were basically blank.
Turbotax, if you could fix things so that I didn't have so much wasted paper when I print your documents, that would be MUCH appreciated.
You could also make it easier to print the one page year-over-year comparison - finding it and figuring out how to print it are just about the most challenging things that I do with this software each year!

Makes taxes easy
I have been using turbotax for many years and it makes completing my return a snap. It allows me to do my return and my spouses together and helps us take advantage of the most beneficial allocation of credits.

Instructions in the final phase of printing, saving, netfiling, etc are not straight forward. On several occasions I was asked to print when I had already done so - this can be confusing. I had to explore various options before being confident that I was going to do what I wanted.

ONE ISSUE
I tried using this to do my 97 year old mom's taxes.
Could not find how to enter the Credit for Old age home. Although i was able to enter RL 19. Think i just ended up claiming as a child credit, guess the Tax ppl will contact me.
Called Support 4 times, the reps couldn't hear me at all 3 of the times and hung up, the 3rd time, Rep was able to hear, but said there was a lot of static, and eventually felt he had to hang up. I checked my phone line each time, all incoming calls were fine. I had hoped someone would try to give me a call back as I entered my phone number and issue in a case(Case 428987235). Recieved a email saying case closed. No call back. I knew where to enter info from Rev Quebec, but couldn't find where to fix on easyform. Eventually i deleted a claim for additional expenses, and viola, the balance due went to 0.00. At this point after a month of trying, I submitted. Cause i felt no help forthcoming.

Easy to use, especially if you know what forms are needed. Handy tax tips may apply. The best part is the file sending to CRA. Easy, Fast ! In pension splitting, the software should carry the amount from Line A to the appropriate space below. For some reason, the software did not do that for me. It was my hand calculations that allowed me to spot this.

At first I thought it was great. When we got to the point that my husband had to mail in his info, I was much less impressed. There was no money owing because of his EI but we had to sort through all kinds of info to fill out a form by hand, copy all the receipts etc This could have been incorporated in your numbers.
Also you could have a list of addresses where we need to mail in the forms as part of your input.

Some Confusion
When it comes to income splitting I am confused as to why the "Review" section keeps popping up "Opportunities" when I have already, supposedly optimized both my wife's and my returns.
This confusion may have cost me in our 2016 returns.

WHEW - Got It Done
As usual, Turbo-tax worked the way it is supposed to.
The tax system is way to complicated and convoluted but Turbo-tax got me through it. Answering all of the seemingly endless questions is never fun but necessary, I guess.

Overall easy to use when using the easy method. At completion I could not find where I had initially entered info on T4 etc. When reviewing. Had to read paper copy to determine I had entered amounts.
