Moving about the program
99% of Turbo Tax Standard is great. The only issue I have is to be able to jump around in Easy Step quickly to the new location without going through many pages and not even being able to find it listed in the menu. I had a difficult time finding donations. Even though it was part of my profile.
I don't always like to go from A-Z.... I like to skip a section and finish all the easy steps and then go back to the more difficult ones. Or if I get another receipt I would like to find that page quickly.

I've used this software for over 15 years.
I have used Intuit tax software since it was called QuickTax with no glitches or erros, and each year it continues to improve with little added features.
If I may, I would like to suggest that, seeing as Quicktax delves into the previous year's files when available, that it look for the Northern resident deduction, and if the user has the same address, present EasyStep users the opportunity, to claim again for the current year.

Not enough questions
Found it very hard to locate info on medical travel expenses. Had to go to CRA site. Had to put in this expense in the same spot as other medical expenses. Therefore it wasn't put on the proper line.
I always find warnings and reviews don't make any sense. Not sure what drives them to pop up.

Very Good
Works very well and easy to navigate around while inputting and checking data. Only two issues - VERY slow to open. Sometimes I get worried it is not going to work. Perhaps some indicator that is trying to open would help alleviate the anxiety that I am about to lose all my tax information. Secondly, it took several tries to register online. After I entered my info and hit continue, it just sat there spinning it's wheels. Got out and tried again another day. Finally worked.

Sept 1983, Sept 1983,September1983,September 1983 etc...
could not get the correct combination either using Caps or not or using space between month and year etc...

best program ever for taxes
I have done my taxes this year with turbotax and I have to say its the best thing since sliced bread,easy to use and straight forward I would tell anybody to go buy it and start your taxes today .thank you turbotax,i will be purchasing this next year also.

Great product but costly
I use TurboTax every year and am pleased with the product. However, I find myself wincing every year as cheaper tax prep services become available TurboTax keeps increasing its price. Further, installing a brand new version every year seems antiquated as the versions should be able to be managed from one central program so annual versions are just updates. Seems like this approach would be a win win for Intuit and the customer.

Turbo tax
I have been using Turbotax for several years and tell my friends about it all the time.
There is one little quirk this year. After netfiling it keeps bringing me back to netfile it again over and over again.

Super Easy
I have used TuboTax for years with no issues. I use the easy method because my taxes are simple, and TurboTax does the work for me. The only issue I had this year, was that the program kept freezing on me, so it took longer to fill out everything than normal. Definitely recommend it though!

A bit glitchy
Overall, this is a good way to do your taxes. I found it a bit glitchy and needed to click twice to continue on some of the easy steps filing.
When help is needed with an entry, the texts are not always detailed enough to make a decision.

2017 Turbo Tax
I found it a bit different this year.
I was unable to see the refund amount at the top of the page as I progressed with my return. I was finally able to see the refund amount at the very end.

Easy, but not always the best refund
Almost all good. The only issue I have is with the optimizers for income splitting and charitable donations. They do not work well together. I can manually input different amounts compared to Turbo Tax and get a better refund. Has happened two years in a row.
After completing income splitting I can go back to charitable donations and manually input different numbers to get a better refund. It is a pain as I have to try a lot of numbers up and down to finally get to the sweat spot for the best refund.
Thinking of trying different software to see if I can find something that works better for getting the best result.

I have used this program for 5 years and loved it. Very easy. This year I ran into a problem. There is no phone number to call and talk to someone. I do not want to send questions by e-mail. I want to speak to someone to explain the problem and ask questions.
