use it every year
I use this every year and find it easy to use
this year I had to make some adjustments after saving and before filing. I did find it a bit cumbersome to return to where I wanted to be quickly and had to use the back buttons. it wasn't difficult to use at all, just took a bit longer than I expected to get to the correct screen.

not so easy this year
used Turbo tax for several years. This year had to do my daughters tuition. That was a nightmare. I ended up doing it by hand and then going to the forms and making sure the right lines were filled in. NOT impressed. This is to make my life easier.....it wasn't. So stressed over it. And doing medical receipts sucks too. Just saying...

Joint returns
I like the questions to remind me of my tax benefits. I don't like how it jumps back and forth between myself and my husband asking for the forms to be inputted. It should be 1 person at a time for all forms and then the spouse.

Solid Software

Great Product
Tried & Tested; this year, however, ran into some update issues whereby application needed to be uninstalled-reinstalled before updates would apply - technical support was available and assisted me through the process

Better than before
Much smoother to use than previous years. Going back during Easy Step is still a little awkward, best to go a step further back than needed and work forward from there, but is an improvement. Additionally the language used still leans towards Legalese rather than plain English, would like to see more of an attempt to talk to normal people rather than the over-educated.

Not working on Windows XP
I have used this software for over 15 years. it is easy to use, accurate and faster. However, this year the experience is very bad. I was very very sad to find out it does not work for windows XP which I used for the past few year. I then install it on my windows VISTA, it seems does not work well for it. I then try to install on my another computer with Windows 7, it said can not install on that computer because I have already installed on total three other computers for my directly family member. I then was then forced to use my daughter's computer to finish my return in a rush.

Turbotax continues with ease

Anyone can do it!
For a person who doesn't like numbers I say, if I can do my own Taxes with TurboTax- ANYONE CAN!
I've been using it for years and every time this program works better and better.
The value is amazing!
You can work on your return for a few days if you don't have time, without any worries :)
You are in total control, because no one knows your situation better then you!
Give it a rty, you WILL love it!

Importing your documents to Turbo Tax makes filing simple.

Tuition transfer from 2 children
On tuition and education transfer from 2 children, could only allocate both of these to one parent; but would have liked to claim one child's tuition transfer on each parent's separate return.

PAIN IN THE BUTT
The onslaught of questions at the end of the return are painful, especially if you file a number of returns . Ask only once for the version of the software and eliminate the result of them.
Also how about a report of all the items (T slips, receipts, etc. )entered as a checklist that all items were entered.

Have used a version of this tax program since it was known as WinTax. As our tax requirements have changed and mine became more complex the program has kept me honest and alert... will be using it again next year.

TAXES 2016
Overall good product. Need to add box for other than spouse for sale of principle residence. Two brothers, parent and child can own and dispose of a house and do not fit under "spouse". Medical expenses for travel >40 km is not easy to find information on- spent much time to determine that Ontario is 54 cents/km

A couple things need to be better
Two things could be improved:
1. The import from last year's TurboTax was hidden under the 'File' tab, but I couldn't find that information in the Help. Searching online for the same information pointed elsewhere, even on the Intuit site.
2. The screens were set up for a larger screen so with my 19" screen I was constantly scrolling to see the full width of the screen. There are ways to manage different screen sizes.

Long Time user
I have used Turbo Tax for years, when it was still Quick Tax. Have never had an issue with it. Did try something else one year, can't remember which one, but went back to Quick Tax. I like that you have a choice of forms or questions, I use forms. Turbo Tax was easier to do with the forms than the other one.

Good programme
Even after optimizing the medical and charitable expenses it keeps on reviewing these expenses. Once these expenses are reviewed they should be eliminated and not be repeated. I guess they should be ignored but you always want to make sure that everything is recorded and once looked over, should be gone and not be in the review section, otherwise it gets confusing as to whether it is done correctly.

Standard is Sufficient
I have been using this product for many years and easily filed returns than include rental income, foreign dividends and security sales. As long as you're not a big time investor, this should meet your needs.

Simple & Easy
TurboTax is simple and easy to use for the majority of people. With no major complexity, tax returns can be completed in an hour or so given the step by step method.
One frustration was trying to enter the large child fitness amount for disabled children. In the step by step method, TurboTax would not allow for this entry although the disability credit was claimed. It would seem to be easy to link the two.

Easy
The only thing is when you are doing the step by step approach, and need to go back because you forgot something earlier in the process, for example a deduction, it is sometimes long to go back where you were after you reenter your deduction.

Minor issue I keep finding
1. Why does the software keep calculating the next years RRSP donation with decimal places, CRA only deals with the whole number, they drop the decimal places. For example, TurboTax will show $150.75 but my assessment only shows $150
So every year I have to keep correcting this manually.
2. Why does TurboTax not sent Net Capital Losses to the next year like it does with RRSP's? Means I have to manually track this.

Somewhat simplifies CRA's complex return
I use the forms method - as the quick method is too simple for my return. This is relatively straightforward - I like being able to double click a green field to get to the underlying form. My biggest frustration is the inability to print screen shots. In some cases I can overcome this by selecting the information on the screen, copying it and then pasting it into Word for printing. In a few cases, I was unable to select anything on the screen and had to copy it using pen and paper - this should not be necessary!
Seems that each year CRA makes this process more complex hence Turbotax also becomes more complex. These changes make this entire experience very stressful (and likely impossible without Turbotax).
