Annoying error message
An error script message appears every time I press a button. I downloaded the latest Java as per the tech support recommendation, but that did not solve the problem. This is the first time in 8 years that TurboTax is a nuisance.

More conveniently located pop up boxes
Most years this is easier to use.
This year it was missing buttons which would have answered questions I had before I was willing to answer the 'which spouse will claim this?'. In most cases the info was available, but much later.
This would have been particularly useful for the medical, donations, and (I think it was) provincial credits.
Let's have the info available on the same page the question is asked please.

Best way to do taxes
I have used TurboTax for years. I find it easy to use and very effective. With new features like online retrieval of forms from the CRA it keeps getting better. I can't imagine doing my taxes without it.

Use It Regularly
I have used Turbo Tax regularly for years now. Only complaint with this years version is that it does NOT say "Windows Vista or higher required" on the box, and the software will not install on Windows XP. Fortunately, I have a small laptop running Windows Vista. Sigh...... time to upgrade.
Software is very easy to use, and requires only your tax slips and a modicum of intelligence to complete your return. The software could be called "Tax for Dummies"!

Cost
As I usually purchase my TurboTax at a distributor, I was not aware that I could purchase for a lower price when I was only using for one or two individuals until I got it home. This information should be made clear prior to purchase instead of after the product was purchased at an outlet that is 2 hours drive away.

Good program when you can get it to work
I have been using the software for almost 10 years now. Normally I can install it without any problems but this year it refuse to update on my Windows 10 machine. Followed the instructions (uninstall and reinstall about 4 times, then tried to install a patch as described by intuit but still not working). I sent 3 emails to intuit but nothing - no response.
Tried to install it on my old Windows 7 machine, this time the update went through without any problem.
I was less then impressed when after being a client for so long they refused to reply to me.

WOUDN'T INSTALL!
Great program but it wouldn't install on my Windows 7 desktop machine, despite 2 hours of fiddling with it and following all the INTUIT advice.

Sticky points
Overall good, but a few spots would not record the number. This did not happen in the years before.
Sometimes I had to close out the program, then open it again to get the number to transfer to the slot. This happened in Line 300. Totals were added correctly but that spot was blank. The final copy had the personal amount included.
I like the ability to switch deductions from husband to wife and see where I get the best bang for my bucks.

Every year I wish for this improvement
I would give the product a 5 for Overall Rating, but every year, I find the current method for inputting donations and medical expenses very cumbersome.
I would rather input into the actual tax form rather than tabbing text in a limited view cells.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CHANGE THIS ONE INPUT METHOD!!!!

Tried other brands, but this is the best.
The first brand I used since I started filing my tax. I tried couple of brands to find any difference and I didn't find any. Now I tried TurboTax again, it is way more better than other brands. I might stick to this brand if the price is still reasonable.

Good Straight Forward Tax Program
It was simple to use and the program gave you options to help you claim a tax refund. I enjoyed how you could get tax advice from the program and questions answered that you may have or others have answered before hand. The tax program helped my spouse and I complete our tax return together.

Good but not perfect
Save Often!
I lost all my work after TurboTax crashed while trying to import from the CRA.
Other than that little hiccup, it behaved well, and I was able to file my taxes smoothly.
I suggest to TurboTax:
1) Autosave
2) Keep improving the help. I still had to Google information about certain parts of the tax form that wasn't provided.
