Use the program all the time

Excellent, except in the HELP department.
I reported investment income (was not given a choice about the type) from a savings account. I claimed interest on money borrowed for this purpose. To my surprise, I was shown several pages with info related to capital gains, things having to do with prior year's losses, sale of principal residence, and the sort. I tried accessing help on why I was being asked to enter info on these screens, but was not available. This is what caused me to rate it 4 stars instead of 5.

Turbo Tax review 2016
I find this product very easy to use and very reliable.
I did have a problem finding where to deduct my student loan interest. Also, I loaded a free version of Turbo Tax first and then tried to uninstall it so I could load the Standard version which was a real hassle. Fyi - the Standard version is much easier to use and has much better explanations.

Annoyed when I buy it each year from Turbo Tax, then the price is lower at local sores.

Font issues
I have purchased turbotax for many many years. This is the first time I have had issues with the size of the font on the screen which was tiny. I looked at many places on line and there seemed to be no solution. This needs to be fixed for next year.

Turbo Tax 2016 Quirky on Win 10
The software is excellent, I have been using it for years, I do however have a couple of issues with the graphics rendered on Windows 10. I recently upgraded my computer to a brand new respected brand name running Windows 10, while no other software I use presents an issue on my new lap-top, I have found the following issues:
1. the cursor when positioned on a particular field will not display the value within that field, you have to arrow down for the value to appear
2. the numbers are too small and while I understand my eyes are getting older there is no provision to make the numbers bigger, the software does not allow a larger image through my touchscreen option nor does a view adjustment appears to be available
3. a minor concern, I like to keep the summary window open on the left side to see how the balance is changing as I enter data, but every time I view a form and come back to the main screen, it always hides a portion of the main screen behind the summary window, I never had this problem running on Win 7 on the old beater and I would think you guys would have a handle on this, it is inconvenient to always have to reposition the main screen away from the summary window

Good product
I liked everything about Turbo Tax except that the print size was very small and the font size and lines in the forms did not line up exactly and made entries hard to determine they were entered on the right line and hard to read.

Good but needs Tweaking
In Medical, need to be able to autofill when inputting your name, meds, pharmacy, etc. 50-60 times. Also I had to keep inserting my cd every time I wanted to print this year & even then I had to browse & open manually.

A slight software change request
I have used the basic tax software for many years. It is easy to use and information carried forward helps speed up the data entry process. It guides users nicely through the entry and prompts with reviews to ensure nothing is missed. The Only recommendation I would give is the transfer of additional information: T-slips descriptions, donation descriptions, etc. (generally people work at the same company or make the same donations annually.) This would definitely speed things up.

Makes things Easy
For the most part everything was easy. I only had one issue with overrides which was not a simple fix. I only gave 3 starts on value as there are less expensive programs out there which I may try in the future.

Should be more perfect after all these years
Auto-Fill was superb! However, it would not complete on dial-up; had to venture into town for high-speed access. I used Turbo-Tax "Help" to determine how to bring up Auto-Fill again. Were you aware "Auto-Fill" gives zero hits in "Help"? Also "Auto-Fill" does not appear as an item on any menu. Finally found it under "File-Import". Also, here in town (on high speed), it would be nice if I could open the TurboTax 2016 files on this computer; the PDF does not display any of the worksheets. My home computer is an hour and a half away (and on dial-up) and has TurboTax installed on it. I would like my installation key to permit access to my own return and that of my spouse on her computer here in town.

works great, good value
The only problem when I downloaded the Turbo Tax software is that I continually got a popup that said" an error has occurred in the script on this page" ERROR: "automation server can't create object". "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page" Yes or No. Naturally, I clicked YES to proceed with the return but, it was frustrating and time consuming to do it hundreds of times to continue. Why did this happen and what exactly did it mean and what could have I done to correct it!!

Mostly good
I've been using TurboTax for years to file my relatively uncomplicated returns. For the most part it's simple, easy to use, and you can trust it. I've noticed a few times when the information is *slightly* misleading, or inconsistently presented; however, a little bit of side research using the Help feature generally gets me through those areas.

somewhat disappointed
Have used Turbo Tax for a number of years on my Windows XP computer. I found it very helpful and easy to use. Because Turbo Tax no longer supports XP I was forced I'm to buy a machine with Window 10. I'm not sure where to problem is but it was an exercise in frustration. Not once but several times over the last few weeks the program would freeze and I could only continue by doing a forced reboot. For example today I tried to "print a copy for my records" and got nothing but a "spinning wheel" for 15 minutes. Finally powered down and rebooted to continue. As I said I'm not where the problem lies but the Windows 10 version of Turbo Tax needs some serious debugging.
Will I use it next year??? Maybe.

Good tax software,BUT
I was able to download the T slips from the CRA site but it did not give an option for including the option from the Revenue Quebec site. Also, I saw no way to download the info for the spouse when doing the 2 taxes together. No info on help either. I entered the missing info manually.
