worked quite well
I liked the new way of Netfiling.I did think it used to be easier to go back to previous pages.
I also found it automatically filled in back to school credits when I didn't have any and I had to go thru help to find where I had to manually delete those.

Data from Turbo Tax 2015
This year the 2016 Turbo Tax would not import data from the Turbo Tax 2015 edition which meant more time retyping in the required information such as names, addresses, children etc.

good but need more printing options
You should be easily print things like year over year detailed tax summary (where it compares different years). Instead you must cut and paste into a separate document and print.

Ive used turbo tax for at least 5 years, I love how it populates my information from previous years. I like the interview style, its simple yet covers all the bases. I laugh at people who say doing taxes is difficult and they spend hundreds of dollars having someone do it for them, I will keep that money thanks very much.

Not as good this year
I have used TurboTax for over 10 years now without issue....until this year. The 2016 version stopped working on my tower computer (as did the 2015 version) and tech support could not resolve. Both worked on my laptop so I used on that. All with 2015 is fine. 2016 was fine too, until late March. After an update, I have script errors that I have to address on every new guided page. I can still use the program, but cannot eliminate the script errors. Again, tech support could not resolve. Very frustrating. I still love the program, but am less in love with the support. Once I file all my taxes, I will likely un/re-install to see if that addresses the matter. I did not want to risk more fatal issues and attempt beforehand. Intuit, I hope that in 2017 you take special attention to resolve this and shore up tech support.

Good product, but
I have been using this product for several years now and have never had a problem until last year and this year. Same error TT3015 after loading CD could not load updates. Last year I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with TT rep and did finally get it working after several attempts of uninstalling and installing. This year I loaded the CD and it was working fine including updates, then on the day I went to complete my taxes, same problem TT3015 - could not update. Message said I needed to uninstall and install, but I didn't. Luckily I googled the error and found many people with the same problem. After I downloaded the patch it seems to be working ok. While these may seem like minor problems, they are a nuisance and I don't know if I will purchase this product next year. I may have to try an alternative.

Solid Software
I wish the display would show loudly whose tax return I am doing.
In the easy method we could not find Box 26 in T3
We had to revert to Form method
The optimizer do not work if in the Easy method. No ine tells you to go to Form method
Should have a feature to print SUMMARY

installation
I had some trouble installing this product on my computer. It stalled on The WindowsC++ part of the installation, but when I shut it down and restarted it, the program started fine.

A few glitches but reliable software
TurboTax is pretty easy to use and even easier now to Netfile. One major step missing is a "back" arrow; also the updates don't always work (I was told I had to uninstall and reinstall but no work lost). It was a "fix bugs" update..which I ignored because I didn't want to uninstall/reinstall. The tax returns Netfiled just fine.

More than a decade
I've been using this tax software and it's predecessor for 15 years and find it easy and uncomplicated to use. Even the standard version let's you do many things such as investments, stocks, business, etc. The premium versions will give you more help in doing these extra things if you are not sure.

Very helpful each year
I have been using Turbo Tax for more than years. I enjoy the simplified steps that walk me through each section.
The Help tab at the top and the help icon (the ? symbol) are easy to use and help me find the answers that I need. \i would most definitely recommend this !

I like using this program except I also like the one piece of information that was available in the summary and that was the marginal tax calculation. This was useful to me. It is now cumbersome to figure out. This helped me explain what tax I would pay on next dollar of income.

Make copies of your files before updating
The weirdest thing has been happening with my tax files this year. After every update I appear to be losing the files. Fooling around with the program by closing and opening it a couple of times I've been able to retrieve the files. In a couple of situations I've had to reenter all the slips.
The other thing I've seen is that the file has occasionally been saved using the persons whole name, and sometimes their first name.
I'm confident that it is not a user error, but it is crazy making. I hope someone else has been able to confirm that they've run into a similar problem.

Good product
Turbotax is a good product, more expensive than comparable product but I have been using it for many many years so I am familiar with it. Got the be care full as there are updates even later in the Tax reporting time so.... Love this year new feature where you can download the T slips (T4,T3,T5 etc) directly from CRA. That way you dont have to wait for the snail pace mail (Canada Post) to deliver them

Does the job
For simple returns it is the "BEST"(very fast) 5 stars, but
for Spousal returns with high Charitable donations and requires Income splitting it is "terribly time consuming" to make sure you transfer the maximum donations to the following year(ie use a maximum amount of your non-refundable tax credits) only 1 Star . It is a big fat "pig"

Best Product & Support
I bought the Turbo Standard disk but had issues with it. Called Turbo Tax customer service and they set me up online right away without any problems with ease and my online helper Tracey was wonderful. I would recommend this software to everyone.

Getting Better
The first time I used TurboTax Netfile I thought I was going to go crazy. This year it was almost easy, and cost a whole lot less than going to an accountant! I will definitely be using TurboTax in the future for as long as I am able to do my own income tax.

First time with issues
Had to re install after doing one return. Did not lose any data but was very odd I needed to reinstall the software. Has never happened in all my other years using this package?
Seemed to miss pages as I went back and checked various forms. Would run through from one point then go back do it again and get an added page or two very odd.

SIMPLE
Definitely makes filling out your tax form easier than it might be. I usually do mine on paper first then trsf amounts to Turbo Tax on-line. Always catches my errors - whether in my favour or not and that is good!!!

there was a small pop up that came every 2-3 min
about a script im not sure exacly .
but the program did not run smooth
i used it for 3-4 years now and this year it was not as plesant to use.
i might consider another program for next year.

Turbo Tax was failrly easy to use. My only complaint is that on one of the very first screen it was recommended that I upgrade to a higher version than the one I had. I was able to complete the forms without upgrading so am wondering why an upgrade was recommended!!!
