Crashed A LOT!
Entering the information was quick and easy. Too bad every time I attempted to connect to the online help or register the product online it crashed. Not just sometimes, EVERYTIME!

Pretty Good
Good experience. Two comments: You should be able to perform math in a number entry field; and you should be able to transfer a completed info slip to your spouse (in case you entered it for the wrong person)

Great software
I have been using TurboTax for years. Before it was TaxWiz. Great software and easy to use. Unfortunately, this will be my last year as the software for 2017 will no longer support Windows Vista no matter what browser is used. I will not use an online version to do my taxes.

Solid tax program, but losing cost effectiveness
I really like TurboTax - I've been using it since the days of QuickTax (miss that name). Easy and intuitive (pun intended) to use. The problem is that other tax filing software is catching up in terms of features, as well as cost. I'll stay with the program for the foreseeable future, but Intuit needs to think about making this a bit more cost-friendly if they want to expand their base.

Relatively Straightforward
I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and, for the most part, it is simple to use and I haven't run into any major issues. The only time it can be a bit dicey is with regard to support. The few times I've needed assistance, it has been a bit sub-par and the forum support can be sketchy as a lot of the time it is user support. This is fine for IT issues, but I would prefer that my taxation support comes from knowledgeable personnel. No offense whatsoever to the forum users and contributors, I have gotten useful information from them, but sometimes there is conflicting and unclear information. Otherwise, for a lot of repeat financial information from year to year, it's a great tool.

Consistently good
Thanks to Turbo Tax, doing taxes has been a pleasure instead of a chore.
Some features could be more helpful, e.g. a charitable deductions optimizer that suggests scenarios (e.g. an optimal split, carry-forward options etc.) instead of just providing a worksheet to plug in amounts.
Overall, though, TurboTax has many useful features and its consistent trustworthiness from years of use has inspired confidence that brings effective peace of mind each time I've filed.

EAsy to us
I've used turbo tax for years and it has been a Godsend at tax time. this year , however there was a glitch in the program I bought and I had to get technical help to get it loaded on my computer. After a required update I kept getting an error message.and got into an endless loop. in order to get the program working properly I had to download it from the internet and use the key code on the package. Slightly frustrating and time consuming. By the way I looked everywhere for a phone # for Turbo Tax and never was able to find one.

Good value
I gets simpler and simpler every year.
Updates would not download unless I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I didn't dare for fear of losing all my data and having to reenter it!

Easy to use as always, however, now that I am doing "Seniors" income tax I would appreciate it if more information was available to get more of a refund for seniors. Example: Any government allowances which would now be available that applies to seniors.

Good But...
TurboTax is great but it didn't give me the option o claiming the Northern Resident's Deduction tis year for some reason. I had to go in and find it myself - with a little work... Please fix this for next year

Need improvements
I have been requesting to allow the user to see larger characters/fonts. With a 22'' monitor, still get to see the letters/words in such a small fonts.

Easy to use, but still needs improvement
I would like to see more help buttons associated with the following:
- new to the home office situation, there were few help buttons to do with how to claim utilities (whether they are tax exempt, GST or HST eligible...I called CRA and they had no idea what I was talking about), but the software clearly put the responsibility on the user to input your water/gas/electricity bills in the appropriate box without any direction.
Other than that, this is an easy to use step-by-step software that I use every year.

MORE PROBLEMS THIS YEAR
I had more problems this year than in the past./ The main problem was getting all of my T forms from the CRA site. I started my returns with the info I had in February , but the CRAQ was not ready yet. When I went back a month later they downloaded all my info but it duplicated some of the info i had already typed in. I started all over and it downloaded everything again. However it did not have the additional info that my bank normally provides to help calculate capital gains , so I had to start all over again without the downloads from CRA.

Worth the cost
Good product. I'm not very computer savvy but I found it easy to use if you stick with the easy fill way rather than filling out the forms one by one yourself. I found the help button to be helpful as well. I've used Turbo Tax for the past few years and have been happy with the results and will likely continue to use it in the future.

Easy sometimes confusing
I am not an expert when it comes to taxes. Turbotax is easy to use, but doesn't always explain well or steps are "missing". Can be very frustrating. The end is ALWAYS confusing, I can never tell where or when my Canada or Provencal taxes have actually been filed. Last year I never got to the stage of actually filing my provincial taxes!! Definitely an area for improvement.
I don't know why it has to be so expensive though. With the time I spent on it, I sometimes wonder just to use a "friend" who will do it for twice the price of the software....

Easy to use and thorough
Walked me through all the important deductions including pension splitting. Optimized the pension splitting and shared deductions. Very good for the average family that has straight forward tax filing.

Sometimes very frustrating
Getting started is super easy. There were several instances where I was not able to change/override info collected.
There was no way to indicate that my disability tax credit was being transferred to my spouse. Medical travel was somewhat difficult to alter as some situations did not follow the Turbo Tax protocol. Very frustrating.
It would be nice to be able to lookup a specific line and be able to enter info that way!

IT COULD BE BETTER IF THERE WAS A SEARCH FIELD TO MAKE IT EASIER TO GO BACK TO A SPECIFIC THING

Very good buy
I have bought and used turbo tax every year for the last five years. It is very helpful and easy to use. I still find however that there are times where I have to get help because something is not clear. Overall however it is a very good program.
