Turbotax 2016 Standard
I have been using Turbotax (and it's predecessor Quicktax) for many years now and find it very easy to use by using the Easy Step method. It somewhat relieves the stress of doing tax returns the old fashion way

pretty good programme
There have been improvements made. There are more specific checkboxes. Still puzzled about a couple of things, though, like why one of us is supposed to be getting a big refund even though they didn't pay any taxes....

Overall, very, very good
I would like to recommend that Turbo Tax does not use gray type - please use black type - easier to read.
I find the final pages a bit confusing. I think I've already filed my return, then I'm not certain if I filed it or not.
Overall, though, Turbo Tax is very, very good and easy to use.

Great Tool
I've been using this TurboTax Standard since it was QuickTax. It was my essential helping tool for the income tax return every year. It's not easy for me to file the tax return using this at first but once I got used to it, it's getting more comfortable to use and the program has been getting more evolved and improved and easier to use. But still all kind of tax return activities are really difficult for me to understand even though TurboTax is very helpful tool.

Simplified online return filing
I am impressed with the new connection and a much simplified online filing with CCRA.
It saved me time and unnecessary irate for questions and entering check marks as I had in previous years.
Good job!
But to search and direct locate a specific tax deduction item still convoluted, in my limited experience of a few returns.

Like it but need magnifying glass
TurboTax very easy to use except the printing on many screens is too small to read so I need a magnifying glass. One of the worst is entering T4 information where it's difficult to lineup the return line # with box to be filled in.
I like the graphic summary and the help files seem complete and are easy to understand.

Medical Expenses
I did not like the way this worked out this year Previous years I was able to enter multiple lines so I could identify each person and each type of expense separately. This year I was only able to do it as one entry. It did not prompt for additional slips. Disappointed in this feature.

Good product that efficiently and accurately helps you to complete a required but not much liked task - your annual taxes. The user interface is now pretty smooth, and the software takes most of the uncertainty out of whether you have completed all of the forms and schedules relevant to your situation. The auto-update features ensures that you are always working with current tax rules and forms. I'm a long-time user of this product.

Good Tool - Starting to have doubts
So far the software has proven to be quite helpful, good refunds were being obtained.
However, for the last couple of years I've had a balance owing on my provincial taxes, which leads me to think there's something I need to look into. I'm no tax professional, so I can't determine if the application is missing something, but I'm strongly considering having a tax professional do my taxes next year to make sure I'm getting the maximum refund possible.

great BUT
we have been using the online version over the past few years which is great but decided on the disc/downloaded version this year due to price it was available at. Same great product which is easy to use and file BUT any previous years completed in the online version will not pull forward into the download version :(
other then that, all is great.

TurboTax Standard for 2016 taxes
I am a CA/CPA who started using TurboTax Standard for 2015 tax season, so this is my second year with the software. Prior to that I used professional tax return tax software at my former CA firm. I use the Forms approach rather than the questionnaires and I complete 7 tax returns per year. Intuit's TurboTax makes it easy to complete personal tax returns. I was particularly happy with the CRA Autofill function this year. Worked very well, saved time, and was accurate. I don't like that you have to use a second window to complete some forms, rather than typing in directly (i.e. Medical Expense claims, Children's Fitness...).

There should be a pkg that will only do a couple of tax returns that is higher than basic for cheaper. We had to go with the pkg that does 20 returns just to be able to include RRSP's. There is at least one typo within your taxing journey, can you find it/them?

Resolution
The overall impression is Great. Easy and Fast, not much confusing. However, there is a glitch with a resolution. Most computer screens are way above the default 1024 x 768 and that results in a big problem for some such as impossibility to read the screen . It's not only small font but in case of forms like Ts etc numbers are not readable and rows are not aligned. Once a proper resolution is applied , everything is back to normal. But..how many know what and how top do it?

Flexible to do your taxes
I am a CPA so I skip directly to the forms but for someone not familiar with preparing a tax return, the easy step method is great- it is like you are at an accountants.

Great purchase
The program is easy to use for beginners using the interview process. More advanced can go to forms when time is short. It will bring up things you may have forgotten especially when used year after year. This product gives helpful hints. It also automatically adds in amounts you qualify for from you information given during the interview that you may not know about. Very useful.

Easy to use
Very easy to use. The only problem is when you open Turbo Tax the file say continue even when it has been Netfiled.
Should say that it was filed and the date.
