CRA could buy this software and make it official!!
This software is very good, at least for non-experts like me.
It might lead you to some questions about your tax return which you might solve through its Help? section or you'd like to speak to an accountant. Anyhow, you will be able to file your tax return with this software very easily.
Maybe the CRA might make it official and free to all the population, same as in other countries!!!

Long time customer
I have been a long time user of electronic tax software and find turbotax extremely easy to use. The forms are straight forward, legible and easy to find. Turbo tax takes the work out of tax preparation. Great material!

Was disappointed that I wasn't able to enter medical expenses separately without going into Forms. I'm sure other years I was able to do this in EasyStep. Regardless, I have used this product for many years and will continue to do so.

Good but with a glitch
The program itself is easy to use and not difficult to find info that you need to fill in the tax forms. I did find that for some reason the program didn't load easily when you clicked on the desktop icon. I had to try and open the program using various different methods. I ended up not closing the program and just minimizing it so that it would be available when i wished. I also had to manually put in a deduction which I thought the program would have entered automatically. Otherwise still a good deal. Will buy again next year.

Good tax preparation tool
Two shot comings that I encountered. First, I am not sure if it is impossible or very difficult to just print a single page of the return like the summary page instead of the whole return at the end. The other problem is the limited coverage or absence for handling accumulated Capital Losses from investment. As this is only on issue to address, I don't feel that I need the Premium version of Turbo Tax.

glitchy
not impressed with the caregiver part. Asked too many questions for some things and when it gets to the caregiver part it doesn't ask enough.

Rickoid's TT review
Great time saver, especially when transferring a previous tax year into the current year. Overall very good. Just one caveat: I wish there was a way to import unused medical expense data from a prior tax year!

Devoid of unsupported operating systems
Appreciate notification on packaging of those OS that are exceptions and are not supported by TurboTax and, as well, CRA would be a bonus e.g. Vista, XP, etc.

Could still use improvement
The display of pension splitting is still very confusing as it shows way more income than we had. Judging by the number of comments on this topic, it is not only us that feel this way.
We had to fill out our e-mail way more times than necessary. We should only have to fill it out once at the beginning of the process and then have the software fill it in where necessary.
We have used turbotax since it's inception. In the past, it would fill in the form with info from past fillings. Didn't do that this time. That was one of the advantages of using turbotax each year. Please bring that feature back otherwise we might as well change to something else.

I've used this program for years. it has always worked great except this year it didn't carry forward the information from my last years taxes. I had to enter all the names, addresses and information about myself and my dependants.

The step by step section to transfer refund from Fed To Qbc was missing again but found a way to do it on the forms. Would have made it easier though.

Gets Better Every Year

good, couple things to be improve

Solid software with some technical problems
Quite happy with the software, but it clearly wasn't tested with a high DPI display... The text is tiny on a 4k laptop display! You can zoom the text with Ctrl-+ to compensate, but only some text responds (some forms won't zoom, nor will the table of contents on the left) so I was left hunched over my laptop, squinting, at some points.
Other than that, I'm happy. It does a good job of foregrounding deductions and other things to consider as you work through their straightforward tax wizard, so I feel like I have someone knowledgeable watching over my shoulder as I fill out the forms, making sure that I'm entering everything I need to. Worth the money.

Turbo tax worked good after I got it to work right.
For some reason had to remove program and reinstall to get the updates-which I do not enjoy -computer problems.
How do we know everything is secure and our information is always safe?
I do not trust this style of tax sending. Too many hackers out there . For peter's sakes CRA went down last year and again this year was shut down for a time.

Good but improvements possible
Good product overall but improvements possible. Example, I need to use Easy Step to enter foreign pension (line 115) and also deduct it as tax exempt under foreign treaty (line 256). I could use Easy Step to enter the pension but had to use Forms to do the deduction (i.e. double click on line 256 in Forms). Also, Turbo Tax should allow Country #2 to be replaced by user typing in a real country name.
