Best Tax Software in town
Extremely easy to follow, answer a few questions, fill the boxes and automatically file your taxes! That easy.
When you have questions or aren't sure they have an extensive help section and Q&A section that answers most if not all of the questions you could have.
I'm only giving it a 4-star because I had previously used TurboTax Online and there was no way to import that into TurboTax Standard. Had I known, I probably would not have bought it when I saw it on sale in stores. It just feels counter-intuitive that the same company offers two great products but you can't go from one to the other easily year after year.

Pretty easy

Somewhat Disappointed
I have used Quick Tax and Turbo Tax for more years than I can remember.
I was disappointed this year in that I could not get the basic information from last years 2015 return to transfer to 2016. I do not know if I missed something, but not matter what I tried to do it would not do any of that.
I uninstalled and reinstalled did not make any difference.
Other than that issue it was as good as ever, fairly straight forward.
I will use it again. Will have to see if the 2017 return allows data transfer.

Good Program but CRA Download Needs Work
Just finished another 2 returns and as with the first ones I did, the automatic download of tax slips from the CRA caused Turbo Tax to crash because although the screen said information was being retrieved, it wasn't and Turbo Tax stopped responding. We need a 'try again' button for this problem as its frustrating!

More service, less maketing
I've used Turbotax for many years and it has worked well for me. There were many hangups due to lack of updates. It may be time for the company to put less emphasis on marketing and more on service. The ease of use was unacceptable.

turbotax2016 issues
Have been using Quicktax then turbotax for the past 10+ years. Purchased tt2016 this year as before and installed on the same computer I've used since 2008. Loaded fine and even installed updates. 2 weeks later went back to actually do our taxes and received a message that since my computer was running Windows Vista, I could not get updates and would likely not be able to NETFile. Surprise, surprise. Why didn't I get that warning when I loaded initially? Very disappointed and a total waste of time. Luckily we had a backup laptop.

Medical Deductions
It would be helpful if a cut and paste portion was available when entering medical receipts. Three of the fields can be quite repetitive for monthly entries.

I encountered a problem this year. I keyed in the dependants names of the client and my name automatically filled the box as well as my sin number.
Fitness amount for a dependant was doubled. The program is automatically putting disabled benefit amount the same as what was claimed as fitness amount doubling the claim. Why is it doing that.?

I PREFER THE SET UP FOR 2015 FOR SELECTING WHETHER YOUR DOING A CURRENT RETURN, OR OPENING AN EXISTING RETURN OR TRANSFER FROM PREVOUS TAX YEAR.
I WOULD LIKE IT BETTER WHEN YOU ARE ENTERING INFORMATION AND TAX SLIPS ON A RETURN THAT INCLUDES THE SPOUSE TO ENTER ALL INFORMATION OF ONE PERSON AND THEN ENTER THE INFOR FOR THE OTHER RATHER THAN GOING BACK AND FORTH

So simple its confusing

Improvements
