Issues
I have been purchasing Turbo tax for about 15 years and until this year have never had a problem. This year there has been one problem after another. First the file wouldn't download properly, then the update wouldn't download. Until the latest I couldn't Netfile unless I did it manually. Despite all theses problems I have never had a single issue before this. For this reason I continue to trust Turbo Tax and would definitely buy it again. Also customer service was very helpful with fixing the problems.

Fast, Easy and Accurate
The easy step process was the fastest way to file a tax return. My one complaint about the product is that the minimum of $25000 for return count should be increased as the minimum wage has increased and most people working full time will be over this limit.

When I tried to enter the country code, I was unable to find what was the correct one as nothing would come up from the Turbo Tax program. There was nothing in help, and nothing in the pull-down window. Although I live in Canada, our usual code is CA for Canada, but after sometime I decided to try CAN and this worked. Why do they not have these options showing to help fill-out if not in the help file. Thanks

Worth Trying
I started filing my own taxes about 3 years ago after I realized how easy it was with Turbo tax. I figured why pay someone else more money to fill in blanks that I can do for less.

Good Product
Only criticism is that it failed to give additional information when requested ( Industry code for childcare ) This could have been a simple table that was displayed on the screen for user to pick the needed information. Other than this it was easy to use; although it was confusing at times such as when netfiling was complete. Perhaps this is more a problem of my age.

Smart Purchase
This was a very smart purchase for the second year in a row. The software is easy to use, guides you along the process of filing your taxes extremely well and is great for prompting you about tax benefits you may have forgotten about or didn't know were applicable.

Short on features
I had shortcomings regarding investment accounts and support for T5 forms - having a savings account is pretty standard among Canadians, so why does this software need Premium before supporting it?

Getting Started
Laptop would not read disc, perhaps because had changed to Windows 10. Took a long time to download from website. Could do with more detailed instructions on each step of the way. Once in and operating good and easy, but it did not download previous information. Have been using TurboTax since 2012

Simple and quick way to file your return
I have been using Turbo Tax for a lot of years. I like that the current year return imports a lot of information from last year, saving a ton of time. Hence I have kept on using this program year after year.
I experienced a frustrating technical glitch that didn't allow me to save any of my 2016 returns. I spent over an hour uninstalling and installing but same results. I called the tech line, which took 20 minutes before I was able to talk to a technical analyst. Chris was able to resolve the problem within two minutes. The customer service was great.
I did not give 5 star on the Overall Rating because of the glitch (had to run the program being the Administrator). Otherwise, I'm a happy camper.

medical expense sheet
I really enjoyed previous editions when the names appeared and I could choose the name of the family that the receipt was for. This was also great with whom payment went to (company). some times there are over 50 prescriptions and it was much slower this time.

Some Frustration
I have used TurboTax (formerly QuickTax) for many years. It has always been easy to use and accurate until this year. Everything was going good until I tried to NETFILE. NETFILE was supposed to be open on February 20th but when I tried to NETFILE I got a message that I wasn't successfully connected to the CRA site and that I could go through a manual process to complete my NETFILE. I didn't want to go through the manual process so I kept hoping TurboTax would fix the problem. I even posted my problem on a TurboTax forum - no responses. I kept trying to NETFILE over the next couple of days. Finally on February 22nd there was another TurboTax update and I'm assuming this update contained a fix to the problem. I then was able to NETFILE.
