Turbo Tax 2015
I have use THIS product since it was conceived.
Originally, I filed my taxes using the provided forms in the 'Long' fashion (always successful)
I received a copy of the original 'Tax Program' and have been purchasing and using this product successfully.
However, in spite of claims it was improved and intuitive, I found it very difficult especially due to some of the preprogrammed functions. The ability to confirm the results of some of the chosen options was difficult.
Overall, considering the extended amount of time required, I was not as please with product performance!

I wish we could put turbo tax on XP computer so we could print tax form. Our printer doesn't work with our laptop windows 7 that we had to use for the tax program and now we are having to buy a new printer to print our taxes.

Great value. some work required
It was easy to use and inexpensive. I also like the ability to file myself and see what is available for my return. It was a learning curve this year though and I had a hard time understanding some of the explinations.

The Donation and Medical Optimizers for a dual return for me & spouse were difficult to understand (my university degree was in math!). The bottom line should state the result (combined pay or refund).

Troubled with not being able to print anything until the tax return is completed. Not even the tax summary without it counting as a final tax return. A print of a summary sure would help the process.

Great product
Simple to use, easy to stop and start by bookmarking your location, easy to go back to confirm or correct your work. I used TurboTax to prepare my wife and my returns and it took under 4 hours.

Minor issues
1. Why do I need to override when I want to share charitable donations with my spouse instead of carrying them forward. There is a good reason for increasing her current year refund if the amount of carryforward is significant. The cost of splitting the donations on 2 returns can be minor in comparison. Having to override gives the impression that perhaps the netfile will not be allowed.
2. Once the return has been filed you could make the exit more streamlined. After you give me a confirmation number you don't have to give me the option of of sending a print copy instead of netfiling.
The other choice of "done with filing" is ambiguous. What does that mean? Was my netfile not successful and you are suggesting I suspend the process? I do think you can make this final step much more straightforward.

turbotax 2015 filing
Overall, very easy to use, well explained details and features. Only downfall was the final filing which did not allow Netfile direct from TurboTax as TT could not receive terms and conditions properly. Alternate solution was easy to follow though.

I have been using this product for many years and find it easy to use and good value. My Son uses it as well and is very pleased. However, I have 3 Plans that I pay premiums to, but there is only room for 2 Plans on the return; 1 more space would be helpful.

Wonderful - but...
Here is the but
Entering individual medical expenses is tedious and time consuming as you have us to it. Perhaps a sheet where blanks for each expense can be filled in (so much of the information is repetitive and typing the same material over and over again is frustrating. Entering charitable donations one at a time is also tedious but not as bad.
Would love to have an easier way to enter this data.

Some small faults
I've been using the product for years with no regrets. This year, however, I filled in my mom's return, and there were some hiccoughs. First, if a person is 88 years old, the program should not be suggesting an RRSP contribution. A small thing, but ... Second, well, there is no second really. I messed up between T4A(P) and T4A. The program should have read my mind, but didn't. Recommended for speed, ease, and overall not-stressful-ness.

Issues That Annoy
I have used both the quick guided approach and the detail forms approach. My consistent complaint is the inability to read the forms & input boxes !!
The guided approach allows you to magnify the print size for easy reading, the long detail forms do not allow for this. Letter contrast is poor & all inputs are unnecessarily hard to read. Others share this complaint as well.

Make sure to make it easy to traqnsfer unused credits from a spouse. Currently this is not covered adequately in the existing software and needs to be addressed already. I think I've lost $600 or more because I did not do this in previous versions. This represents a potential huge tax savings that is not even covered in the software.
