Great visual - like the real forms.
On Value; similar to other FREE software - provides similar results - a tax return
Turbo tax advantage - Consistent - year after year; rollover is easy.
Pricing- shop around you may save $5-10 on the software at "brick" stores.

Good Value
As usual the product has improved year after year.
I was a little disappointed though that at the end it allows only the email address of the husband to be used for notification when the return is filed and not the wife's or maybe it's because that was the 1st return being completed on the joint return? It's not a big issue but would be nice if it allowed either email address to be used for notifications on both returns.

work screens provide only small characters and work sheets and application does not permit to increase font size which is a bit of an eye strain on older folks.

Buggy in 2015
Had problems using this years product on dual monitors. Also had problem with updates on my Mac that has windows capabilities.

Fast
The best thing I like about this product is that it can pick up additional tax advantages that I could miss eg. CPP overpayment. It is also faster to Netfile rather than send in a paper return. Sometimes it is a bit hard to understand but for the most part it is user friendly.

Problem on filing
The problem that stumped me was the NetFile screen. It asked how I wanted to file my return. I clicked the netfile with my name and confirmation number shown. I had no indication of the status on this screen. It kept asking me to select how I wanted to file and I could not go any further. It was very confusing. I tried to file a few more times and then I gave up....!

Familiar
I have used it for a long time and so now feel comfortable with the process and no longer have a sense of the end of the world if I don't get things done perfectly and now. A sense that I am licked in. I know I can move freely back and forth in the system without loosing important steps. It is more about me,computers and government than the program.

Overrides
I was unable to do an override to a CCA value. My F2 button on my laptop simply adjusted the brightness. However, when I depressed the Function (fn) key, then tabbed F2 I was able to make the override

Improved purchase
Overall the improvements have been very good.
Some difficulties with INFLO.
Is there a way to show when disability amount transfer to - on disabled person income tax return. i.e. son over 18 years does not need the amount under line 316 and is transferred to mother under line 318. Your improved program has automatically transferred the amount to the mother from 2014 return but still requires manual changes to son's tax return. - the amount transfer, name and SIN of mother. Mother's return still requires manually to show the name and SIN of son.

Efficient with problems
For the first time ever, this year info was not saved. Twice I went back, after entering info, to find it had not been saved. This has never happened in the past, and I am sure I clicked on save when prompted, when I was exiting.

Easy, but not always helpful
TurboTax is fairly easy to use and takes you through most of the items that matter. That said, when you have questions, often the TurboTax help doesn't answer it. For example, I still don't know if I'm supposed to include GST when entering in a professional fee. Also, it wasn't clear to me what we needed to do if we had more than about 14 childcare receipts (2 kids x 12 months...). Took some time before I figured this out last year.

Opinion
The software is very easy to use and works great. The only thing is that the price is now getting a little expensive as there are other options that are free of charge. Something to think about.
I know that you have an option to do online but I am not comfortable going down that road at this time.

generally it is easy to use except I encountered trouble today when re-opening turbo tax . it kept telling me the files were corrupted and I could not open turbo tax. it did eventually re-open but it was a little frustrating. I still do not know why it would not open until I un-installed the program and had to install it again.......

Easy To Use
This was a very easy program to use. The Easy Step Interview questions help cover all income and expenses. I found the question area a bit frustrating. They could categorize the questions in an easier format to find answers. Other than that, I would use this software again next year. Thanks for a great product!

Quick and easy to use.
This was easy to use. Took an afternoon to enter the data. Best thing is the carry forward from prior years such as capital losses etc. Doing the taxes myself has resulted in significant savings over the years.

Medical section needs improvement
When I change the claimant for Medical expenses (combined return) - Turbo tax gets confused and some information doesn't get updated. It was quite tricky to update and what you see on screen is not how the forms are updated. There is a little note about this but it's not so intuitive what to do.

Easy to use but so are my taxes
I have been using the product for many years, however my taxes are so simple to do I will probably not buy the product next year (I will look for free alternatives, possibly go back to printed forms again if possible).

Launch issues
Had an issue with getting the program to launch after an update. Had to uninstall, reinstall and restart the computer several times before it would finally work. After that, no issues.
