Useful Tool
While there are other tax software programs available. TurboTax is suffice for our needs and being familiar with the process helps to speed the input of information as well as options for maximizing deductions at the tax crunch.

Cannot print all medical receipts record
Why can you not print all the medical receipts which you have entered? You print some, then lump the rest into a total. Please find a way to print a record of all of them.

It was very straightforward till I reached the review and file sections, where it asked questions and made suggestions I had already dealt with. It also forgot that I was filing for my deceased husband after I had indicated that at the start.

each year i have difficulty with the Upgrade necessary after loading the disk. It is not obvious that i need to do it before doing the return and it causes problems with the electronic filing

Consistent quality
I use TurboTax every year, and I was with it back in the Quicken days as well. I find the guide to be very helpful. I did find they changed the walkthorugh a bit and the places to find the charitable contributions and the exemptions was a bit harder to get back to if needed. Overall, though, very useful.

Easy to use. Pain to install.
The program was easy and great to use. I had problems installing it from the CD however. After a bunch of tries I just went to the website provided and I was finally able to open the program.

great program - minor things odd
Turbo Tax is a program I use annually. This year it took some additional time as the program immediately added income through an RSP income item, but this was going to be negated by my HBP repayment. However, the initial item came up first and I spent time trying to figure out what I had accidentally entered, but then figured it out. I purchase the program to prevent these problems.

One Frustrating Glich

I am generally pleased with the newest version however I did find it very time consuming to have to keep going back and forth through many screens when a change was required either due to human error or updated new information. Would like to see it made easier to make corrections.

Very Good product
Turbo tax continues to improve year after year. The net file function is so much simpler than past years.
Things to consider adding
-better integration with CRA website. Would be nice if all CRA inputs could be front ended through the TT software to avoid having to go to their very busy and user unfriendly site
-Would love to see generic examples of individual or family tax situations that could be provided to the individual filing. could take examples that are similar from a database and provide some tax savings tips based on those scenerios
eg) We have found someone similar to you in their tax and income situation. His name is Jim and Jim is married with 2 dependent children and is the single income earner with an income of $100,000.00. Jim contributes to his RRSP and has a company pension. Some things Jim did this year to reduce his taxes were.....

Much improved - a few weak spots
The only negative I found with this version, is the way it displays the name for the return you are working on, when completing returns for 2 people. There were times when I was not sure whose return I was working on. Displaying the returnee's name in larger print, rather than within buttons, would be helpful.

Reliable Seamless
I have been using this since its inception. I like that it loads my previous information automatically. Less work for me.
Fast and easy.
Cost is a bit much but I share with family and we split costs.
Especially like that it keeps running tabs on my balance for home-buyer RRSP repayments.
