Could use a running total
I tried UFile last year, and came back to TurboTax because it was so much easier to navigate and jump between forms and EasyStep. The only thing I could suggest is to include a running refund/owing total in the corner when in both forms and EasyStep modes.

While Turbo Tax is labourious to use, it is the best software I could find to prepare my returns. Using Turbo Tax is much better than preparing my return manually.

I had some issues this year
I usually find TurboTax to be really quick and easy. This year I did not find the "help" fields helpful. Also I think some warnings around filing a deceased person's taxes should be way clearer. My parents always file together, so their returns come up together, this year my mother passed so when we went to do their taxes we indicated this and we had to file separately. We did my dad's first and submitted. Then when we went to do my mother's we found that the CPP death benefit that comes in my mother's name with her SIN number should have been filed under my father's. Therefore, now we have to modify his already submitted return. If we indicated in the beginning the program should prompt you to either the deceased person's first or explain more about the death benefit for the surviving spouse before you submit.

easiest way to file
Been using Turbo Tax for over a decade. Finally convinced my father to use it a couple years ago. He's now a convert. Only made a mistake once, and that was all me - entered too many zeroes.

Fanatastic
I have used TurboTax for several years now and am pleased with how easy it is to use. It shows me everything that I need to know and what forms I need etc. And I like how quickly it shows me what my refund or payment is. I also like the information that pops up along the way to remind me of what i require or do not require in preparing my taxes. Recommended especially if you are cheap like me!

Getting Easier
Every year, turbo tax has given us easier and more efficient tax software without worrying about the legal jargons. I just wish that there will be an option for just spouse returns so I will not waste 6 returns.

6th year and counting
I no longer question how I'll complete my taxes for myself and my husband. I purchase the Standard TurboTax software each year. I like how easy it is to use and that you can transfer your information from one year to the next so you don't have to re-enter the info that hasn't changed (ie names and birthdates of dependants/ address/ sin #s etc)
I had one issue this year with the option to autofill information from the CRA website. It asked you to report a random amount from a specific line from last year's return, but then it timed out on me while I was looking for the info, then it crashed and I had to restart my entire return. I think it was a problem with the CRA system, not Turbo Tax, but still frustrating. Hopefully this is a glitch that will be fixed by next year.

Just two things that drive me crazy...
I've purchased Turbo Tax for a few years now. My husband is employed full time and I stay home, so I never receive a refund. Despite this, Turbo Tax's "optimizer" software always insists that our charitable donations and medical expenses go on my income tax return! I input the information into my husband's return, the "optimizer" switches it to mine, I see the $$$ become lower, I manually switch it back to my husband's return, and the $$$ rise. It would be great if this was fixed, because it drives me crazy!!!

Overall good product. Relatively easy to navigate except line 104 doesn't seem as easily accessible on its own always have to search it. Also this years version seems to be missing a save button on the main screen the way it was previously there.

Okay service
Been using this software for a good 15 years now but with other options available that are less expensive and can handle most situations, I am not sure if this will be my choice next tax season. This year the user interface changed and I found it more difficult to navigate around and it did not allow for itemized information but rather lump sum amounts in some areas too.

Problem with Tax Slip Download from the CRA
I was reasonably happy with this software except for the fact that it did not download my T4 and T5 slip information from the CRA. No explanation was given as to why this occurred. This feature definitely needs some work by your software designers.
