carry over
The carry over feature from 2014 to 2015 did not carry over. Its never happened before, just annoying to have to retype everything.

Did I miss something but I could not find where I had to plug in the amount of tax taken off by employer. I had to go to the line number to put this amount in.

Pros and Cons
Overall the product is easy to use and the transfer of data from previous years does save many questions from needing to be asked. The netfile process is much easier than in previous years. The charitable donations optimizer is confusing to use. I would like a more simplified way of determining what amount of my donations I should carry forward to the next year, but the optimizer doesn't seem able to provide that information. Other than that an excellent product with very accessible "help" information

- Confirmation number is displayed way to small
- PLEASE DO NOT USE THE LETTER I, can't tell difference if it is a number or letter. It could be seen as either.
- Last step, wasn't sure if it was being sent or not to CRA. Could have a window stating return is being sent,
then confirmation that CRA has received it.

The competition from other Tax programs has caused Turbo Tax to evolved into a quality product. There was a time when they were one of the very few tax programs available and they did not provide a good "value for the dollar". That being said, I wouldn't use any other program today. They continue to improve and refine their product, leaving the user with an effortless program that works.

Better Than Doing Manually
Pretty Good. Always room for improvement. Had a tough time getting a contact phone number at Turbo Tax for assistance. Had a question on the definition of some of the fields. I tried help no success. Used Rev Canada Guide but didn't help to clear up what Turbo Tax wanted for an entry. Finally got hold of someone after calling at least 5 toll free phone numbers I found online.

easy turbo
THIS WAS A VERY QUICK AND EASY WAY TO FILE INCOME TAX. IT SHOWS THE BEST OPTION FOR THE FINAL CALCULATIONS.

somewhat disappointed
I purchase Turbo Tax every year, however, when I was about to submit my tax return, the automatic upload to CRA did not function properly.
Generally, I have no complaints regarding the product and the downloads or uploads.

Visibility
The main problem I have with this is that I'm am partially vision impaired. The font is grey and it's very hard to see. Also, I couldn't find where I can enlarge the font size

Optimizer for Medical Expenses
Optimizer for Medical Expenses did not give the correct spouse to enter expenses, made quite abit of difference in refund when I changed spouse that Turbo Tax suggested I use as optimal.

is to use only had one ....problem just remember to keep your activation number ...... computer crashed when it came back up one of my yrs asked to be reactivated needed the file couldn't find my activation code had to repurchase a 3 yr old copy redo that yr as I was audited .... go figure ?

Pretty simple to use, even for investments, etc.
This is the perfect version of the software for the home user. It does 8 returns and despite trying to upsell you to a higher version is perfectly fine for doing RRSPs and Investment stuff yourself, especially if you're involved in your own trading and know the terminology and have records of your buys and sells - if you're not and want to avoid an audit, have a professional do your taxes.

I have used Turbo Tax system for the past 14 years. My return is very simple however I find there there program suits me perfectly. The system for filing is quick and accurate. It saves a lot of time allowing for quick return and if possible a very fast refund. Highly recommended.

easy to use
I have used this software for many years and have only one complaint - it automatically transfers my charitable donations to my husband even though he is in a lower tax bracket. I have to manually elect to claim the donations on my return every year. If I forget, our joint tax credits are lower than they should be. Please fix this!!!

great buy
using turbo tax has saved me some valuable cash that will buy me brand name groceries, all I had to do is to know my financial situation by gathering all my tax related documents for 2015 and then answer the questions as the come page after page, doing my taxes hasn't been that easier
