One problem
The one problem which I found was that I couldn't enter language preference on my Quebec return. I didn't carry through from my federal form and I couldn't add it to the Quebec form.

netfile
Overall easy to use and very helpful. Trying to Netfile seems to always be a task, never have good instructions or know what to do. The selections are 'do not want to Net file' or 'finished with filing'. Leaves you high and dry at the end.

Very good product but a problem exists
Toward the end of the program turbo tax offers to sell you a "premier" version of the standard level of their product.
They also offer some audit protection in case your return is audited. These are sold separately and you must hit an "add" button to purchase each one.
I decided to purchase the audit protection and went through all the procedures to do so. However when you get to the point of actual purchase the order form prefills with the full amount for BOTH programs. No way to correct this. Tried many times. Finally gave up.

the last update crashed my files
I've used turbo tax quick tax for years and years. First time i've had problems. It did an update and then would crash opening saved files. had to reinstall and start the returns over. Other than it was good. Keep a back up I guess Im trying to say.

There is no way of knowing if the file has been submitted ti revenue Canada so I may have submitted ours twice and may submit it again. The help page is as usefull as my dog, when asking for help the same area keeps popping up with no way to change what is showing he search function is not a function as the same message keeps coming up there is no way to send this to ou it is so wonderful looks like a waste of money to me

Easiest by far
Turbo Tax worked hard to make form completion much easier this year over previous years.
The Optimizer feature did not work for Charity Donations or Medical Expenses...screen urged do manually?
NetFile was super easy this year.

Confidence
I am a retired CPA. It seems to me that the more experienced users would feel more confident when using your guided format if at the same time they could see what forms and where on the forms the information is being entered. At least that is my feeling each year. I find myself being slowed down because I want to be convinced that the entries are correct.

Long time customer
I have been pleased for the last 8 or 9 years with the product. I am concerned however that after purchasing the product this year it shows up on my home page as a FREE downloadable copy. What's up with that?

Pleased and Content
I always have a level of trepidation when I file my Taxes. Its just a general feeling of unease. But as I progress through it, Turbo Tax slowly soothes my stress levels. Every year, by the end I am confident that my return has been completed properly, and I am receiving everything I am entitled to. I even got a nice return this year. For once. :)

Shared Investment income display
When entering investment income which is shared between partners, it should be displayed more clearly so as not to enter on both. The split amount/percentage is not clearly displayed on the partner's form in the entry section and leads you to believe it has not been registered.

actually super great program
only problem completely was, they didn't warn that netfile was not ready with them until after I tried to send netfile 3 times. It said that if I did it 5 times I would have to mail it.

Great, except . . .
TurboTax gets even better each year and that's great, BUT wow what a pain it was trying to determine why I was not given the maximum age amount deduction allowed in the federal income tax calculation. TurboTax folks: please, please, please provide the federal worksheet on which this calculation is made and enable users to link to it. PLEASE!

Take your time
Review the total package once or twice before beginning and have all T-4's etc as well as deduction receipts on hand and totalled.

After netfiling error???
Love the product but do you have a bug? After I received my netfile confirmation and printed off the page,when I went to the next stage, after making pdf copies, I was taken to a page with a question at the top asking me again if I was ready to file, all the while at the bottom of the same page it showed I had confirmations....so I ignored the page, and it even again asked me if I wanted to make pdfs and I again ignored it.

Turbo Tax Standard
This is a very good program and I highly recommend it. I have used Turbo Tax previously and with the exception of last years return I have used it regularly. I did have an issue with it last year and my money was refunded without hesitation. It may have been due to a faulty disc. However I decided to use it again this year and it went very well. I used the services of the tax review with a tax expert and in my opinion it is worth it. If I can use this program at 74 years of age then anyone can. I highly recommend it.

Not as good as previous
I do not like this year's program as much as in the past 8+ years that I have been using it. Getting help and being able to download and print information is not as easily accessible as in the past.
In the question above....would you recommend this product to my friends....you should have a MAYBE option.
