Awesome!!!
I got married last year and filed taxes jointly for the first time this year. Turbo Tax made it very easy for me. I was originally looking at having to pay taxes this year. Turbo Tax allowed me to easily transfer some of my wife's tuition over which allowed me to receive a much larger than expected return instead.

Medical forms
The tax software is great with the exception of the medical forms. It is not intuitive. you cannot insert something if you are trying to keep the dates sequential; if you have to repeat the same information over and over either you should be able to cut and paste in the table form or the columns should have drop downs - very frustrating and then when you go to a second page you cannot see it in the table format

Hidden info
Last week, a fire destroyed the phone company's facility for this whole area, leaving no telephone, cell or dial-up internet, and we remain out of contact with the outside world. I had to travel an hour and a half to file this year's returns. If I could have determined if I could have installed TurboTax 2014 on my friend's computer, as the second install of my Product Key, that would have circumvented lugging my massive computer (CoolerMaster's Cosmos II chassis weighs in at 50-lbs before I put anything inside) into the city and back again. I could not phone to find out if a 2nd install was permitted, nor could I check your web site. Product information on whether installs were limited to one, or to two, would have been very useful. A second install would have allowed me to complete missing medical information, emailed to me but not accessible as there was no internet. I would only have needed to transport a flash drive with the completed files and entered the medical information for the almost completed tax file. If you do not permit a 2nd install, it is something you really should consider. In town, I have my former XP machine with TurboTax programs and files going back to QuickTax and much farther. On my new computer, I only have access to opening 2014 tax files, though I have all the former year's files. The PDFs created for former years do no save the worksheets, and it is sometimes desirable to compare work from year to year. It would be really nice if I were, not only able to install TurboTax 2014 on my old XP computer, to read this year's files, but to install former years' TurboTax programs on my new computer, the latter so I have complete access to all my many years of tax files.

Could improve receipt entry
It would be helpful to allow CSV import of receipts previously entered in Excel spreadsheets. I have numerous medical receipts that need to be matched to insurance claims. Its more efficient to enter this data throughout the year prior to filing taxes but there is no way to transfer it.

Problems and Pleasant Surprises
Could not print from the Turbo Tax program; had to save as pdf and print using Adobe Reader. Bit of a downer.
Probably not a new feature, but this was the first time I used the "Input both spouses info" feature. definitely a time saver.

I have found it help full and for the most part easy to use. It certainly aooears to walk you through the steps and at the end you can review and as a Joe Blow when it comes to taxes I feel better than going to some tax person I don't know>

You should warn people of a province of self-employment that is different from province of residence, since that affects the ability to Netfile. When it tells you you can't Netfile, it should tell you why not.
TurboTax inherited my old province of self-employment from last year's return. I didn't notice because I had no self-employment income this year. I had the envelope with my paper return sealed and ready for a stamp when I noticed the wrong province on the return. I deleted the wrong item and was able to Netfile after all.

Very Good Product

Satisfied Customer with reservations

2014 Experience
Good software ..... but when filing a two person return to share pensions and expenses it does not optimize who should claim property taxes for provincial credits or who should apply for credits .... at least if it does, it does not report it to you ./.... so you don't know if you made the best choice or not.

good plus
I have to admit the 2014 issue was better than 2013. There is still room for improvement but for something I use once a year I can't complain. If I used it more I'm sure it would become a breeze. But as it stands I was well satisfied. It came highly recommended by a close and trusted friend who does a lot of taxes. Get it.

Almost Perfect
User since 2010. First time using telephone support (Live Tax Advice) this year. Outstanding customer support, once you connect with a representative...however, wait time (during peak tax season, admittedly) was +90 minutes! This is the only reason I have deducted one star. TurboTax: please hire more bodies during peak season!!

99.44% good enough but a few suggestions
The package works well enough that I have used it as far back as 1999.
The over all interface is good but the compatibility
with Windows cut and paste is poor. In first class Windows application right clicking a field should bring up a context menu with cut copy and paste options.
this does not happen in QT.
Also the Ctrl C (copy) Ctrl V (paste) shortcut keys do not work in all fields especially dialog boxes popped up when a Tslip has many boxes the can feed one box.
This cut an paste issue comes up when I want to copy info I already have in Excel and just paste it in with out
retyping (Names and addresses of Banks or investment companies or all the medical slips)
It would be good the grids for tslip info was like a Excel grid and you could cut and paste easily.
Last issue with the Tslip entry. under certain circumstances the entering more than one Federal Tslip end up on the same Releve so they overlap.
You loose track of the amount on the second slip because it is buried in the middle of the other slips info.
When I do see it I move one of the Tslips over one column

Pretty Good
Only issued I had is that I didn't register the product first, so it wouldn't let me Netfile, although it took me a while to figure this out.
There should be a pop-up reminder for registration when you try to Netfile without having completed it first.

Pension splitting
I would like to see an optimizer for pension splitting. I normally split my husband's pension but found by him splitting my pension instead, my balance due dropped by $2,000! Turbo tax should have alerted me to this option.

Generally Easy to Use
There were some changes in format this year; however, it was still simple to use. I would like to see a few more links from within the program to useful information. There were a couple of times I had to use the Help function, when I thought it would be best if the link was right there.

Lousy, slow UI in TuboTax 2014!
Data entry validation should occur, and any error messages should be displayed UPON USER ENTRY of data, not upon submission of a page. In fact, data validation SHOULD PREVENT user from entering invalid data! TurboTax 2014 neither warns nor prevents users from entering invalid data, causing them to have to re-enter the data to "fix" the "problem" and move on.
Responsiveness is excessively slow. Typically, the time to submit a page and display the next page is 10 seconds. In TurboTax 2013, that time was closer to 3 seconds. TurboTax 2014 has regressed!
