Saved time
I think the last time I did taxes on my own it took 2 hrs. With TurboTax it took less than 40 mins.

The standard version works good.
We just suggest you show the phone for support on the box, we had to search on internet.

searching within turbo tax
I was having a challenge locating where and how to enter medical travel and meals claims. When I asked for a search in that option it did not solve my issue.
Eventually I located it. I think I was not scrolling down far enough on the page where I located it.
When I tried to enter it directly on the blue page and it said it required an over ride, why didn't it take me to the correct page?

Excellent
Easy to use. My only issue which may be due to unfamiliarity with the product is how to quickly get back to input forms if I need to make a change, e.g. getting back to capital gains input afterwards.

It's Easy to file
I never use a tax software before but after trying this software I am impress how easy it is to file. It also gives you choices what is best for your situation and I like that it will also give suggestion to what other taxable benefits you can use. In one word, Awesome. Keep up the good work! Easy to use for basic filing
I have been using Turbo Tax Standard for 10+ years. I have very basic uncomplicated returns for 4 members of my family, two being university students. Turbo Tax Standard was all I needed to file for us all. Easy to use for basic returns.

Great, but most expensive
I stopped using Turbotax 2 years ago and went back to it this year.
It is more easier to use than other software but the price is still high compared to others.

HBP repayment
I did not like the HBP repayment screen. I went through it 3 times and each time my payment did not register on the return! Then, I realized that if I put numbers in all 3 empty boxes that the HBP repayment would finally register. It would be nice if you had a message on that screen explaining to the user that numbers HAVE to be put into the boxes in order for the HBP to take.

Get rid of the ads!!!
Like the product but I hate the ads - I've already bought the product and I'm in the midst of doing my taxes and there's Intuit trying to sell me something.
Do not insert ads into the software - I hate this and it makes me angry. I'm already doing something I don't wan to do (i.e. taxes) and you're trying to sell me something I don't want.
Take out the ads!

Each year it is a little harder to use, turbotax needs to do some user acceptance testing not just adding something new every year. This may be my last year using it.

Very helpful call centre
I goofed by not entering the proper dates for medical expenses. Emily at the call centre help desk cleared it up in no time. Cheerful and extremely easy to follow she saw my error right away.

Annoying browser default
Very annoying that TurboTax runs Internet Explorer rather than calling the user default browser. I can exclude third party adverts from just about every other browser I use, but I gave up with Explorer. Other than that I like turbotax

Help form should stay up so you can fill forms and follow directions.
If the help form tells you to go to a specific form / line number it should take you to the form and line number.
Not close the help form then try to remember what it said to do.
Should be a rebate for users of many years

Help is a disaster.
It is a problem to search for a certain line or topic. You don't know wether to go to HELP, SUPPORT, FORMS, SEARCH, etc., and all these choices are in different windows? It could be easily improved.

Very user friendly software but lacks printing opt
I find the TurboTax software very user friendly with useful on-line links to various agencies or other sites. However, it would be nice if the user could print out some of the summaries, WHILE the return is being worked on, such as the deductions summary, the student credit deductions summary, etc. Otherwise, it's an excellent product! I've been using it for the last 5 years and keeps getting more user friendly with every new version.

Has helped me for many years with my taxes
This program has helped me for many years with my taxes. First to use to see if I had all the forms for filing before going to a tax consultant. The results from Turbo tax were almost the same as the results from the consultant. This made me confident that Turbo tax were to be trusted to file on my own. I help one of my co-workers to file taxes as well with my copy as I only file one over 25,000 and one under 25,000.

Good Value and easy-to-use Tax Software
I have been using TurboTax for the last 4 years and I have noticed good improvements over years.
I am not a big fan of paying service fee for answering a few tax questions but I am also not against it. That being said, if TurboTax offered customer a free trial of the one-on-one phone tax advice services - that will give a clear picture to the customer of the value that service offers instead of customers taking the risk of paying for the service and not find it valueable.
