Back ground screen
I found the back ground screw is too light and the print is quited fainted making it very difficult to read and review.
This is only major problem encourtered - rest of Turbo Tax was fine.

I have used Quick / Turbo Tax for 15 yrs and have been quite satified in general but just a bit disconcerting that it has to change every year and I found the printed copies harder to read and follow this year, however the Netfile suprisingly easier..

some major annoying issues
the text on screen was too small to read. when I down loaded an update it erased my previous saves- I had to input all the information ll over again.
some improvements made from last year- more user friendly

Improve
When I started using CanTax many years ago, there was a provision to project taxes for the next year using user inputs of income. This gave a good heads up on tax planning deduction options for the next year. The current version of TurboTax only covers the past year and does not offer suggestions for the coming year.

Optimizers and review porcesses are confusing.
I've used Turbo Tax or its predecessor software for years. Still a great package.
However, this year's software, from my perspective, has slipped. Ease of use has fallen. Your optimizers and review processes are less than intuitive. Their use requires far more analysis and investigation than in years past. Frankly, they are confusing.
I know tax laws are complex and "splitting" is relatively new but for the typical tax filer, I believe your software could be made easier to use in these two areas.
Keep up the good work.

Not so Easy
I found this years program harder to navigate than prior years. This may be because there are so many changes in the tax system, but found it frustrating at times. Easy step was not so easy.

very good
worked very well, however the size of text on my screen was extremely small. I wish I didn't have to use glasses to see. Especially dealing with numbers. There should be a way to enlarge the text size.

Tax time
I was happy to have tried turbo tax it works well for me. But not sure that will be the case for anyone with a more complex tax return to many pop ups with not enough information to go back and fix them..

Pretty Easy to Use
Fairly straight-forward, only gets a bit confusing if you are not sure of the form you need or if you do not understand some of the terminology for different fields. Biggest pain was that it requires Internet Explorer to run the script and does not work with any other browser.

Easy to use
Easy to use for simple returns.
However it does not have capital gains splitting with spouse. All numbers have to be split manually which is less than ideal.

I noticed when it came time to do the review of the income tax file and you checked the summary - it left you hanging. Pressing the 'x' took you right out of the program, but there was no other choice. A glitch I would appreciate your looking into.

Private medical insurance company
I think you should reverse the order of your medical expenses offered. I think you should put the name of the Private insurance company and premium paid BEFORE itemizing the expenses....because I put the amount of the premium and the name of the private insurance company into the medical expenses listing and then after I had finished all the expenses, found there was a category after the expense listing that asked for the name and the amount of the premium paid. So I had to backtrack and edit the listing of medical expenses to exclude the private premium paid and put it after the expenses...that is the same thing that happened to me last year...because it is a "follow the bouncing ball" routine , there is no scanning the form ahead to see what is ahead...

Long Time User
Everything worked great. A little dissaponted in all the add-on advertising. Also, in the tax payment options there was no option there for paying at the bank at the teller - which my mom-in-law always does! Not everyone does online or mails a cheque.

Very useful
I find TurboTax very easy to use and extremely helpful during tax preparation. It is nice to be able to spend an hour or so, save my work and then come back and continue. Also adding in missed or late documents is straight forward and the calculations are updated automatically.
