Easy Steps is good but
The easy steps is really good and functional, but I like to enter some things into the forms and I found it was difficult this year to go back and forth to double check certain things to add or tweek. Basically had to follow the easy steps ! I had to do it 3 times to get the results I wanted.

Turbo Tax is Ok this year
Overall, good product. It easily transfers last year's info from Turbo Tax. However, I ran into problems when it would not "Fix Override" when I clicked on it, and had to shut it down and then start from the beginning. Also, it wouldn't print forms or confirmation numbers today, but did yesterday. Overall good, just a few glitches this year that I've never had to deal with before.

Medical expenses confusing
We had to fiddle around with the medical expenses form, in order to be able to enter more than one form.
Also, it would be more convenient to be able to right click on a field we're being asked to complete, to get help information on that specific field.

Did the job
Found the program not quite as friendly as I would have liked, but the staff were so helpful that it worked out very well and I was able to complete our taxes without having to upgrade to another version. Definitely recommend the Chat option if you have any questions or difficulties. Staff is most helpful and polite, do not make you feel dumb or computer illiterate! Well done. I have adult children whom I do taxes for as well as mine and husband's ... found the Standard return worked for us all. :-)

Simple and intuitive

Easy to use
I have been using Turbo tax for 3 years now and find it easy to use and helpful, but this year they mixed up 2 letters in my email and did not send me the download link and finding out where to get the download link took hours of time on the phone and computer. Other than that I have found it to be good.

I am not a fan of that prompt to add services at the end of the program when filing. Otherwise it would have been a 10/10 for me.

Information Input
I would like to see TurboTax add either a copy feature or an auto fill feature to assist in completing the Medical Information for info such as prescriptions where some info is repeated many times.
Otherwise I find the software to be of great assistance in completing my returns.

Some help in optimizing
I found the area with child's tax credit a bit lacking. There was no real help in deciding how to optimize the fitness credit and who should use it.
The RRSP wizard has a slider system. Would be nice to see that for the fitness credit as wel.

Optimizer
The system indicated I should use the medical expense optimizer to see if one or both could use some of the expenses, but I never found it. So, not sure if it was properly done.

Too many pop up ads
Great product except for the all the silly pop ups. Get ride of them during the process and put them all at the end. This will improve the flow. Also the last item on filing should move the done filing option to the bottom with the continue and done buttons.

Very good program
We have used TurboTax since 2007 and really like the simplicity and being able to net file. It is fast and easy and I get my refund faster than I ever did when mailing my paper forms. The only complaint for 2014 is that this year it did not seem to be as user friendly when trying to move from easy use to the forms.

Full name for first timers
This was my first time filing my income tax. Revenue Canada would not let me efile it because the Turbo Tax software would not let me put in my full middle name and My full name is on my SIN card. So it was a pain to have to print it out and then go to the post office have it weighed (since it was overweight with all the forms) and pay to have it filed. Maybe next year you could change your software so it accepts full middle names (as most peoples SIN cards would have their full name on it). Just a suggestion

Easy and simple
My son's mom is the one who does the taxes on the computer every year since 1997. We've been using quick tax since 1997 then now Turbo tax since I do like it but do not like how the form set up is done. Referring to if you select to do the return by easy form. Probably because I have been doing taxes for so very long. Something do not apply and I have to read and go through them before proceeding on to the next form. But for someone who does not know how to do taxes yes it would be very simple for them to use.

still room to improve
It would be relly helpful if Turbo Tax had more room to enter medical expenses. And although it's generally better to claim medical expenses on the tax return of the lower income spouse, it's not always the case -- especially if the lower income spouse has nearly no income -- yet Turbo Tax keeps pushing the claim onto the lower income spouse for us. That's a $10,000 mistake if we follow the program's advice. :(

Glitch for 2014
When trying to return to the medical receipt page in Easy Step, it kept starting from scratch, as if I had not already entered several receipts. I had to switch to Forms, use the Look-up forms dialogue to search for Medical, choose the data entry module (form), and scroll through to find the ones I wanted to edit. Had I not being using Turbo Tax and its predecessor, QuickTax, for years, I would not have known how to do that.

Great Tax Software
I use Turbo Tax only once a year, and because I do not use it regularly the software has to be very user friendly. At the first brush, the tax preparation appears formidable, follow the easy step, everything just spring back to memory and is a bliss filling in the numbers . The software has improved immensely since I started using it years ago. It just gets more user friendly. Think about it, you only use the software once a year, Turbo Tax has done a great job guiding through baby step at a time.

Easy to use
I have used Turbo Tax for several years and use it for family members as well. The number of returns that can be filed from one purchase makes it very economical. It is also fairly straight forward to use.

Medical Expenses Feedback
In general I love the product. Would suggest a couple of improvement on the Medical expenses worksheet.
It would be great if I can import these items from Quicken or Excel instead of entering them line by line. Furthermore, I would suggest the addition of a carry forward option for medical expenses instead of only allowing deletion from current year.
