Good Product but some flaws
Great product but some enhancements are required. While answering the interview questions you have a tendency to put your paperwork together in that order, but, that's not the order you are requested to input it. When saving Turbo Tax gives you the message that it is printing but it's not, it is saving.

Suggestions for better use
One should be able to pick and print individual forms for us to review and maybe discuss with an accountant or adviser without consuming one permitted use of the software. This was possible before. Especially useful for small business owners. We don't want to be staring at the screen all the time while preparing our tax returns. The optimizers can be improved both visually and provide advice along the results. one should be able to import a list of medical donations from Excel or Word or a list of investments. Being able to retrace one's steps in looking at forms is helpful too instead of going all the time to the list of forms on the bottom bar.

Slow-can't change font
I found the program real slow this year. I did not like the font either. It was too big. I tried to zoom in but it didnt work like they instructed.
I also had a problem when I first bought the program. There was not a key code attached to the program. It delayed me a couple of hours by the time I got it up and running. I do not have time for that. In the end it did work out.

In the Pension Splitting, on transferred to, enters split income in areas where should not be entered, and could not delete. Otherwise very good program. Easy to follow and easy to use.

Room to expand
Since I am moving away from Windows operating system in favor of Linux I would like to see a TurboTax version specifically for Linux or at least instructions on how to run on WINE.
For those not Linux savvy, WINE is a program which allows you to run native Windows programs on Linux. WINE is not an emulator such as VMware or VirtualBox which also requires you to own a copy of Windows.

Good
Very similar to last years version, but they changed the interface. It's seems cleaner, but not as intuitive and found it sometimes clumsy. The one bonus feature over last year is the simplicity with Nefiling. They have made it much simpler and quicker.

No MAC version
I am completely happy with the functionality except there is no MAC version and I refuse to do everything on-line. I have to spend extra money and time to run Windows on my MAC. Very disappointing.

Medical Expenses Confusion - Be Careful
I found a very confusing "bug": the medical expense optimizer and the medical expenses form (listing all the items) use DIFFERENT date formats... the day/month positions are different, making it very confusing and could result in loss of maximum deductions if one does not notice this when transferring over the optimizer's recommended start/finish dates for the 1-year period being chosen... ie., mm/dd/yyyy vs. dd/mm/yyyy... better still, if using the optimizer, it should set these dates automatically on the items form, instead of requiring manual entry

OK...but
Very good and easy to use software. The ONLY complaint I have is one that I've had for many years is that you have to change the display on your Windows desktop to "Medium". The program does not allow you to enter any values on the forms if you use "Small". Darn frustrating.

User interface
New look is nice. The filing portion is easier. The last segment of filing where you select to Netfile or print is awkward. The "Done with Filing" button is off the screen and you have the instant thought that you didn't complete something correctly despite receiving the confirmation on the previous page.
Otherwise it works well.

My 5th year using your product. This year's edition seem a little bit difficult to use. First time to use the income and expense portion (using easy step) At the end shows only info re net profit; offers to edit options but nowhere to click what to edit. Finally discovered to use form mode to make edits.
2x got a message : turbo tax stopped working, Microsoft will close the program. Never had I experienced this before.

I first downloaded Turbo Tax to a computer that is NOT hooked up to the internet. The phone connection worked fine, but the scripts didn't work. It was impossible to reach anyone on the phone for help! I then had to purchase another Turbo Tax and put it on a different computer which IS NOT what I wanted, plus costly.
