Gets it done
I find this the easiest way to do your taxes if you have no complicated investments. Easy step makes it so you only fill in the things pertaining to you. The information from past years is always passed on, so it takes less time to fill out forms. And the options for printing and saving are super efficient, only saving the forms you used. I have never had a bad experience with this program, and that's more than I can say for the U file one out there.

Wise purchase
I have been submitting my taxes thru Turbo Tax for several years now and find it very useful and straight forward. I like this years updates which allowed me to move back and forth freely without losing data entered. Also, the side toolbar which provided the total update as I moved through each step was an excellent added touch.

3x tax return
This is the 3 year in a row I am using the Turbo Tax program. Seems to be pretty good. Whish there were quick access points to see where possible typos were made.
Wish it clearly outlined where to enter medical expenses.
Heard it is comparable to a few free programs out there.

REPEATED USER
Have been using for several years doing 4 or 5 each year for family and friends with fairly straight forward income and expenses therefore is pretty economical. I find it convenient to carry forward each year the balance and figures from the previous year with the click of a button. The review is helpful to catch something I might miss. Love the quick Netfile process. Thank you.

Still needs improvement
Good but shouldn't have to retype every medical expense receipt, donation or info slip every year. Program needs a memory & auto-fill feature so preparers don't have to re-enter every painstaking detail - why not carryforward names of T4 employers, T5 issuers, or medical receipts & donations as per prev year & leave date & amount blank (aided by prompts). That would be nice!

Good purchase

Fairly easy step by step

Expensive
First, I feel the government should supply us with turbo tax free of charge. Turbo tax needs a cheaper version good for doing 2-5 forms. I buy one that can be used for 10 or 20 and feel it is a waste for me. The program itself is excellent to use.

Year after year same difficulties
This is my 3rd year with this program and although it is a great concept, it is very hard at times to argue its errors. Repeated errors with fitness credit and the doubt of ones income makes it very difficult to get by the warnings! Kind of had enough of the same thing over and over.
If these issues did not occur it would be a great program and concept.

My mother in law pays only rent to a seniors residence. They indicate how much is rent and how much is services. They do not indicate how much city real estate taxes is included. Without the tax payment indicate the ONBEN form is rejected even though rent is supposed to be considered. I think this is an Ontario tax problem not a TurboTax problem but it is irritating.

Turobtax review
I've used this for many years. It seems to work very well. This year there was a huge discrepancy between our provincial tax. The federal one gave us both refunds, but the provincial one gave me a big refund and my wife an almost equal payment required. this does not make much sense to me

needs forms revised
always jumping around from line to line when entering. why not have lines so I don't jump from one column to next only to switch back again and search(eg. box 14,16,18,20,switch,22,24,26,44,switch,52,switch,10,switch ,other40

Great Purchace for Family
I found this an easy and economical way to do taxes. As a busy family of 4 people working, I was able to do taxes in the comfort of my own living room for the whole family. Much better than going out to a tax prep area and could do taxes for each individual as their info was received. Normally we would have to wait until everyone had all their receipts, etc to start. I have recommended the program to friends and family!!

Suggestions
Numbers entered on the federal side are brought directly to the quebec side. Please also bring in the title (name of corporation). But especially keep the numbers in separate columns. Now the numbers on the releve 2 are all shifted to the left. It is confusing.

Other than a few picky things this is a great prod
This is a fabulous product however this year I have a few picky things to complain about:
a) uses Windows explorer - it should use the PCs default browser - Windows explorer's history is filled with several security issues,
b) In the Ontario provincial Credit section where you input your house taxes there is an NEW line: Home energy credit - reservation - and the Help section has no reference to it - luckily there are several questions about it in the forums, - most confusing and it took me an hour to figure out,
c) when net filing the screen reverts to a "start the net file process" screen after receiving the net file receipt - again very confusing in the most important part of the process - sure to lose customers over this one - took me 15 minutes to figure this one out.
Over all it is great way to do taxes but I found that this year the quality control of the product was much lower than previous years. I will give Intuit another year (2015) of my business but if this keeps up I will be switching.
