easy and straight forward
If you are ready to do your taxes, and have everything in front of you, then it is a quick and painless process. The program takes you from beginning to end and asks you to fill in the blanks as you go. So much better then the paper and pencil method from before.

gret- need work on provincial
It was great except for when it came to the provincial section. They need more definition tabs and help for the provincial section as it was very confusing and there was no help.

Donation and medical receipt boxes could be improv
I do like the software.
One suggestion is to improve the boxes for inputting medical, donations, etc. It's not that user friendly. Only 3 columns show up. Moving around the rows and columns could be easier. Cannot expand the dialog box to make it bigger like a lot of software.

I think I got more from this program than I have from tax advisors in the past. Well written program that brings you step by step through the tax process and seems to get the best value for your tax return.

Major Improvements, But be Careful with Fonts
This year's version of Turbo Tax is MUCH easier to use than in previous years. The ability to set fonts is a major plus, but it's not pointed out that making them BIGGER is not a good idea for the printed versions (where you have a more-or-less 9 point maximum on the basic typeface: the larger font I selected was ridiculously oversized for the boxes it was supposed to fit text into; since the number of pages does not change, regardless of font and size selection, 'overtyping' occurs too readily). The ability to exit quickly at the end of a return is still non-existent . . . and there's still too much ambiguity on the "print return" screens. Is there a reason you can't simply add an "Exit the software" button on the print screens?????

Questions better this year
This year's easy step questions were better than last year. It went smoother and I felt more confident that everything was covered. My complaint is that it is very difficult to determine which version of TurboTax to purchase. I do not want to buy premium just for some extra advice about investment income.

Small Quibles
I have used TurboTax for many years and have always been happy with it, however I have two small quibbles:
1. I am getting older and my eyesight is not as good as it used to be. TurboTax would be easier to use if the text were larger.
2. It would help if TurboTax allowed me to copy a number or text from one field and paste to another.

Works for Me
This is a fast easy and far cheaper way to file my taxes and my husband's. The only complaint I have is that when it says I owe money, I would like to have an explanation of why.

EASY TO USE
Turbo Tax software is very easy to use and very helpful even with the complicated tax situation. I would recommend this to a friend and will continue to use this software... Kind of 'pricey' though.

Free Turbo Tax?
At the end it says sign up free with turbo tax and get net year for free. Next year is not free . . . . but the sign up is free.

I like the updates
Found this even easier to use than previously. It helps to have things organized and I was able to complete returns for my husband and myself in about three hours, including netfiling, which went much smoother this year.

Easy to use software..like no using a calculator to find figures.

Windows Media Player
I had a issue that after I installed the Turbo 2014 tax program my Windows Media Player would not load. I unstalled the program and the music would play. I re-installed my back up and could no longer play my music. I hope this could be fix in the near future. P.S. I have a Windows Vista computer.

2nd Time Around
The first go - it had my income $10,000 over and said I owned over $5000 - i was not happy. I ignored that and started again. This time I think they got it right.

I am a truck driver. While doing employment expenses I thought it would mention cell phone expenses. It didn't. I filled out cost for food and lodging, then three pages later there are the proper forms for driver meals. Confusing.

A fair to good system to use for small stuff.
Would like to get back into system to check some things out but cannot do it, very frustrating, once its done and sent its really DONE.

I liked the data entry but I had problems using the optimizers. I had to resort to the forms method to optimize. I could just use 2 forms(entry & result) and see the results. A split screen would have been helpful as it would have eliminated having to switch between forms.
