No more hair loss at tax time!
My father lost most of his luxurious locks because he didn't have turbo tax, I swear. I distinctly remember the week of forms, receipts, and shoeboxes full of scraps of paper. My brother and I would stay low and try to blend into the wallpaper least we disrupt our fathers pacing and hair pulling in frustration. Yes, we would watch as he would run his fingers through his hair, tugging as he read booklets, found forms and jumped though the hoops required by "The Tax Man". If he had had Turbo Tax he would still be sporting a full head of glorious waves, I am sure! My husband and I are off for a lovely spring drive after 10 minutes with Turbo Tax. And I am happy to report no hair loss!

I found this year's program a little harder to use when trying to find the amounts for line 260 to put on each spouses return. Forms were hard to get to

RRSP
The RRSP section for 2014 tax return only allowed me to enter in the maximum limit for the tax year and I couldn't figure out how to carry forward unused portion from year/s past. Didn't really look too hard either, but it would be nice to make that part of the return easier to use.

Things have changed
I have used the Intuit product from the beginning and found it easy and simple up to this year. The new GUI format is less efficient and somewhat confusing especially if there is an error. Additionally, if you are not careful with the suggested tax savings, you can end up not getting the best refund. Add to that the fact that everything now cost extra (from the basic format) and the value of the program has been diminished IMHO. So much so that I am considering an alternate program for 2015

Direct Deposit Options
I have used direct deposit for a number of years. Two boxes are used in Turbo Tax. The first, states Yes, I want to set up or change my direct deposit information. The second states No, I don't use direct deposit or my direct deposit has not changed.
This section is most confusing. My direct deposit information has not changed so I guessed and clicked on NO! Or, does this mean that I don't use direct deposit.
Please change the wording in this section.

Only Standard
Everything is easy to use until you want to go back and change entries. For example: Dependent's income and information. A bit of a glitch for me. Also, Turbo Tax program was "not responding" several times and slow to process entries. And it's not my pc, brand new.

Very good, BUT....
I used to be able to print the Detailed Tax Summary, but now the program says that it will cost one of my returns to print that form. I like to have that form in case I need to do a quick look at the info to supply figures to the government or whomsoever needs it.

File
When you get to the File stage of the program a selection to file at a later time should be added. This would allow us to save alll the current documents and return later to use the Netfile feature. All other stages are clear and simple to use

Worth it
Easy to use, easier than ever to file now that you can do it within the software instead of saving tax files and sending it through the CRA website. Love this new feature! Have been using turbo tax for years and would definitely recommend it.

Easy to use.
I found Turbo Tax easier to use than last year.
what I would like to see different is that I be able to transfer a file from a few years ago to this years.
I never filed a return using Turbo Tax in 2013 for my son and found no info for him in this years transfer window.

Reliable and Easy
I buy TurboTax every year for many reasons. I like how I can transfer in last year's return and then just check the personal info and it already knows to carry forward certain deductions (RRSP, tuition, etc.). I like how I can bookmark areas to return to later and check.

Great but Price Bugs Me
I have used TurboTax for several years - it is easy to use which I really like, However, It really bugs me that I have to pay full price year after year. I can understand paying it the first year. Subsequent years should only be an update and cost a fraction of the original price. I don't understand why I have to buy it over and over again...

Great Choice !

OAS age
OAS can now be deferred beyond age 65, since July 2014, giving a greater amount. TurboTax did not recognize that OAS no longer has to start at age 65.

Suggested improvements
In the top right corner, show a running summary of tax refund (like previous years)
Fix the color scheme.... don't need an option to change screen contrast, just make it proper (like last year).
Thanks for making it easier to file with netfile (compared to last year).

Hard to Understand
I have found this year compared to last years it was hard to find all the necessary deductions and hard to understand the summaries. Not all the same deductions are noted in the profile stage especially if you are wanting to claim Working Supplement or trying to understand the disability transfer. Even to claim the dependent amount it doesn't transfer over.
