All good except...
Good software that helps you through the process and assists you so you don't miss out on deductions you are eligible for.
My only complaints are when you are in the forms mode the minimized forms have a very short title area so it is not possible to see what the form is without expanding it to at least minimum size. It would be nice if hovering over it would bring up the full form name.
Also, the scroll wheel doesn't always work within a form which is rather painful.

Use it Every Year
Turbo Tax was easy to use with one exception. Entering multiple Medical Expenses was very awkward. It should be easy to flow from one expense to the next. It was easier last year.

First Time experience
This is my first time filing my own taxes and it was easy with Turbo Tax. I feel that I answered all the questions to the best of my ability and confident that my taxes have been completed properly. The only thing I would like to have seen is more simpler terms used to explain things when you would like to know about something. Not everyone knows tax terms, ins and outs I guess what I am saying is dumb it down a bit for us people who need it spelt out.

My Tax-Time favourite Program
I used the 'import' function to auto fill personal details from my 2013 return which sped up the overall tax process.
All in all a very good tax program. I did notice some annoying 'improvements' from last year. Three different pages had automatic 'tax tips' that opened as soon as the page opened and covered the first several lines of text and check boxes. These pop-up tax tips were annoying and did not automatically minimize. Second, there was no help at all in deciding how much charitable contributions should be forwarded to the next tax year. this had to be done by guessing. Very poor programming in these two areas.

I like Turbo Tax
Good except that it printed out 3 Business forms when we have no business other than rental income.
This was ok for my return when I was asked to close forms that were not required, but did not work for my spouse.
This should be reviewed as printing 3 extra , not required Business activities, is a waste of paper(21 sheets)

BEST and Quick income tax software
can complete income tax for myself and husband within half and hour and I work from home have employment expenses so easy to claim. The best!

Worth the cost
The program is very user friendly and this year it has really improved from the last three years I have used turbo tax. The help windows are also very easy to understand. It really simplifies the process of filing your taxes yourself. No need to take your taxes to a third party and pay a ridiculous amount of money to have someone else do it for you.

Didn't like the changes to this new version
I didn't like the changes to the 2014 version front screens. It was not as easy as it was before to jump between screens to evaluate data entered. The left menu doesn't show all the tabs. I ended up using the forms a lot more than I usually do. If you are using it for the first time you probably don't notice. But as an old customer, with some tax preparation knowledge, I found this new version dissapointing.

More complicated to use each year
When it was QuickTax it was MUCH easier to understand & answer the interview questions. I work in the financial business & every year I find TurboTax interview more & more confusing & vague.
This year's version (Tax year 2014) I was NOT able to elect to defer my RRSP until I got to the Tips section, when it recommended I defer.
Intuit, please go back to the old style of about 8-10 years ago. Otherwise, the program is great. I would NEVER use services that do tax returns.

The Only Way to File
Solid product. Lots of options. Easy to use. Reasonable cost. Very few people should need to pay a commercial tax preparation firm. They will not do better and you will learn more doing it yourself.

On-Line Version
In 2012, I used on-line version of Turbo tax which was big mistake. I was not able to carry forward data to my computer this year and had to manually enter all information. Later, I was not able to access my 2012 on-line return as well as they archive old returns and now I do not have any copy of my 2012 tax filing. Other than this, I have used Turbo tax for over 10 years and have not had any issues.

Nice surprise
I procrastinated and didn't file my returns until December. I was dreading the time and effort I usually have to spend to do my taxes. The whole procedure of TurboTax was surprisingly painless. Took less time than I expected to complete the filing. Netfile was a breeze, TurboTax did it automatically. No more having to sign in to CRA to file. What a wonderful feature, I loved it! Definitely will purchase TurboTax for next year, and no more procrastinating.

You provide an opportunity to set a password- that is good but you do not provide a duplicate password box - so you enter a complex password, and possibly make a mistake-you write down a password to uae but enter it inaccurately - there is no duplicate password box, so you do not know you entered it incorrectly until you try to use the software and you are locked out !!!!

Turbo Tax
I have observed this application evolve over many years, and it is better each time. Some annoyances like the limited information in the Medical Expense entry pages make it hard to carry expenses over from year to year - it would be nice if there was a Turbo Tax dedicated medical expense file that you just updated and it extracted from. They have been very good about investigating and correcting form errors - and updating the software to reflect the changes - two instances over the years have made the online forms match the paper ones.

Less user friendly than last year
I used 2013 Turbo Tax this year and found it was not as intuitive to use as in past years. I'm not sure if this is because filing taxes is getting more complicated with every year...but I struggled with whether to enter data in the summary sheets because I couldn't easily find the data entry forms. Still a very useful tool for getting over the nasty yearly task.
