Turbo Tax Review
Overall a great program. Very user friendly. The program is easy to follow as a result of the step by step approach. All calculations are completed by the program making the process of filing your own return that much easier. Helpful tips are included as well. I highly recommend Turbo Tax.

Easy to use & it produces all required docs.
TurboTax is easy to use, it provides help popups if needed. It provides hints for optimizing your joint return, for married people. It keeps a running total year after year so that if you carry forward any charitable donations or tuition credits you don't have to go looking through old returns.

Pretty Good Program
Other than a few steps requiring you to type in the same information twice, I found it a very easy to use program. It double checks on any inconsistencies in your return. Well worth the money I spent.

Standard is better than Basic
We did 2012 taxes with the Standard version and accidentally purchased the Basic version for 2013. I upgraded to the Standard version since it is so much better than the Basic version.

Use it every year

Fast 'n' easy!
This is the seventh year that I've been using TurboTax, and again I'm pleased with the value for money! It's SO nice not to have to fill out those forms by hand, with a calculator and reams of paper by your side!

Charitable Donations - Found got a better refund when did the optimization myself rather than let the program use it. Got a higher refund by wife and I both using donations rather than the optimizer having only one of us use them all. This needs to change in the program.
Forces you to use Internet Explorer rather than Chrome or Firefox.

Why are there so many adverts in a pay program
As always, easy to use and lots of great tips and reminders, I do however think that when I purchase a program it should not be filled with ads flogging products I don't want or need every third screen.

Frustration
New product really isn't as user friendly as it used to be. Older version allow user to double-click in a box & the required schedule would open for completion. Now it takes a lot of searching to find what is needed.

Easiest Netfile
Last year was the first year I Netfiled our income tax returns. I was literally screaming with frustration by the time I finished. In the end I actually clicked on the button that said "don't push this button" and it worked. This year, I clicked on the Netfile button and our returns were filed in less than ten seconds!

good value
easy to use, great value. However, This program could use a postal code recognition feature that would let a person know they qualify for the northern residents allowance. I had to search for it knowing that I qualified (not given even a hint). Moreover, The ads for out side services get repetitive and annoying. raise the price if you need more money. I gets to looking like a free phone app with the advertising.

New & Improved
As I'm late filing this year's returns (actually past the deadline) my comment has probably been already been stated. Nevertheless, the ease of filing a return via NETFILE in this year's programme is a major improvement. In previous years I was in constant fear of mismanaging the procedure with the result of not passing "GO" but rather going directly to jail. Thank you Inuit.
PS Why not either provide more options for the "Tell Other Customers...) section OR permit them to write their own response ie in the "Life Changes" section while I personally didn't have a baby our daughter did so to paraphrase Don Williams, "Do I look like a granddaddy to you!"

Finding on line difficult
I went out to buy the package and found I had left it too long. When I tried to find it online, I could not find a link for over 40 minutes to the fully package. I was taken from site to site to site, to buy single, online, packages. I only found the full package for downloading 'AFTER' joining a 'rant' forum on you guys. You did not make it easy to find this year. I hope you do better for online finding next year.

simple return takes longer
Ok, I've been using quicktax (now turbo) for years. I find the new T-slip method takes way longer than before. Not sure if it's the design but I think I could enter multiple t-slips on the one screen before now each tslip is a huge screen with every box that's not needed. I do a few very simple tax returns (2 tslips) and turbo takes way longer to complete than before. You want honesty... there you have it.

Turbo Tax
Like the Detail Tax Summary to do final check on my join tax for with my wife's return.
Some times my donations would get on the wrong return and I would notice and was able to change them to the right tax return.
Like the compare to last years return.
Like not having to have a netfile code this year.

Turbo Tax Standard is great
I have fairly simple taxes to complete each year and I have been purchasing Turbo Tax for 6 years now. What I really like about it is it is easy to use, it has optimizer features to show you how you can get more money back and it calculates items that I didn't know I could claim. You can Netfile your taxes and save your return electronically. Lovely!
