this programme is relatively easy to use, but I found a few difficulties. e.g. When I switched Medical expenses and adjusted donations with spouse, it would not stay there .I had to keep checking so that they would not jump back. It would also help instead of suggesting that we defer(carry fwd) some donations, it would rather tell us how much to defer to maximize this years refund and still save maximum for nest year. Every time I came to yet another review, it would change if I asked it to review. The final warning about disability claim error, saved me just in time. But now I have to reprint some reports.

Easy to use -
Completing returns for my wife and my 3 kids all in post secondary school was pretty easy - just remember to do the student returns first so the Transfer credits get imported to the Parent returns.

Good Program But Too Many Ads For Other Products
I have used this program for several years. I like the auto fill to start and the hints along the way. What I don't like is the numerous unsolicited advertisements for other Turbo products that I am not interested in. These are placed throughout the program rather than just at the beginning or just at the end and are somewhat annoying.

Good, but too many advertisements
It was annoying to have to sift through the extra advertisements in the middle of preparing my return. Too distracting. Offers for wills, audit defense, a pro review...too much.

Turbo Tax is a great program to do personal income tax calculations, especially if you are doing combined tax returns for husband and wife. Sometimes it is difficult to include unique items and this year when I print the returns there is no data in them, just blank forms being printed.

Still good, but a bit less so
I have been using QuickTax/TurboTax since 1999, and it seems to have hits its peak in 2010 or 2011.
The past two editions have lost some of that trademark intuitive ease of navigation, have had more than a few bugs (albeit minor, but annoying), and online help information about the product itself has decreased dramatically.
All that said, it is still a good product and I will likely use it next year, but I will be on the lookout for alternatives if TurboTax continues its fall from excellence.

Why no Mac version of TurboTax?
Should have a Mac version of TurboTax. I run this on a PC emulator.. it's a pain. And no, I don't want to use the online version for mac folks... all your personal data gets stored heaven knows where when you use the online version.. No thanks.

Pretty sharp product
Overall a good product, one that I have used for a decade. Would like to see a little more flexibility on editing errors within the page/screen they occur in as some esoteric errors and warnings are difficult to find. Two warnings this year included UCCB assigned to a dependent child, which then has to be reported as income for that child, and tricky eligible dependent amounts for 3 children I share with my former spouse (and we swap credits year to year). Would be helpful if there was a dialogue box specifically asking whether tax payer was in a shared parenting arrangement for child support purposes. Overall though no big complaints, good product and you can complete your taxes in a little under 2 hours if you have your supporting information together. Much better than free tax software I have tried in the past, and better than the similar online version.

Makes Tax Time Easy
Ease of use is great, except this year I noticed I had difficulty changing the Time Period for the Medical Expenses. Still not sure I got it changed. Not certain how this will impact my next year submission. would be interested in a call from some one at TurboTax.

Good product
The program is easy to use with lots of help along the way. Seeing questions from other users on each screen is helpful.
Some suggestions. A marker in the "Open an existing return" section, indicating a return has been netfiled would be appreciated. Gets hard to keep track as returns can be filed at different times and I worry about missing one.
A hyperlink list of items completed in each section, would be helpful for going back to add information without having to pass through all the screens. I know there are flags but a list of items would be more helpful. I returned to the dependents screen, charitable donations and rsp input screens multiple time.

Recomendation
It would be nice to have copy/paste feature in medical table. It is frustrating to not be able to copy repetive information. Especially when optimisation determines medical receipts will be best to deducted in the following year, where thay then need to be removed separately.

Get rid of the ads in a paid product.
Although I love the program and have been a user for many years (TurboTax, Quicktax, Wintax), the number of ads that you place in a paid product is ridiculous.

wastes too much time advertising product like wills, audits, etc. Ask me once! I know what I want. Same goes for SmartTips and Tax Savings. Ask me once.
Only once.
It's getting more complicated and time-consuming than it used to be. I like simple, that's why I use this product.

Overall good. A wonderful option would be showing the forms in a separate window while you're entering your info in EasyStep. That way you could see how the numbers are dealt with and calculated along the way.

Somewhat practical
Although I found several items to be confusing, compared to previous years, once I completed the tax returns for both my wife and I, I found the net filing extraordinary. No difficulty whatsoever. Thank you for this product.

Good quality product
Easy to use with a step-by-step guide, or you can fill the forms out yourself if you want. Feels good to do it yourself, and seems to be cheaper than what accountants want. Just wish I got back more money ha ha ha.
