use it every year
I have been using Turbo Tax every year for approximately 15 years.
This year was the easiest... Love the one step filing with Netfile. Past years it was a pain in the you know what to copy and paste the file into Netfile.

easy to use...
I am administratively challenged, not much of an eye for detail to boot.
This program allows me to plod along at my own pace,
Taking the necessary time to figure things out.
Being able to toggle back and forth between the interview method and the forms helps when you get other advice from outside of the program.
You are able to see what line number people giving advice are talking about.

Very Easy to Use
I have been using Turbo Tax and Quicktax before that for years and it seems every year it gets better and easier to use. I especially liked the automatic Netfile feature this year.

Pretty Good

Could Use Some Improvement
-Should include more answers to people's questions.
-Seemed to have an error in reporting interest totals as there was a mathematical adding discrepancy that had to adjusted manually upon efiling.
-Changes to the tax requirements and filing requirements based on the previous year should be readily outlined somewhere in an introductory fashion.

One big commercial for Turbo Tax and add-ons!
The software itself was fine, but got tired of Intuit trying to up-sell me at every new screen. Don't recommend it because of all the up-selling and "spend-mores".

Household expense problem if moved during year
The only problem encountered was trying to expense business use of home. If a person moves during the year and purchases another residence with a different percentage of business use, there is no way to report both expenses for each residence. If you can break it into two businesses then you run afoul of trying to prorate lease vehicle expense and the program will not handle this.

Great service, but don't like interruption ads
Great service - easy to buy and install, fast, convenient, easy to follow, stable, comprehensive. My only complaint is that the step-by-step process includes several interruption-style advertisements for additional paid services. It was confusing and disruptive and felt a bit cheeky after we've already paid. The only other issue is that we had to boot up a computer running Microsoft Windows to run the software. A Linux version would be nice.

Helpful and well organized
My only issue is that while the Federal Netfile function offers a chance to print a paper copy with the comfirmation number, the Quebec Netfile does not. Slightly inconsistent.

Good value
only problem I found was a bug in the software regarding Niska residence. Checked No on the form then later was told there was a mistake that needed to be fixed...that I had not checked yes or no. As soon as I clicked on Fix I was able to continue. This happened during the preparation of 12 returns for clients.

last net file page
after filing netfile and receiving confirmation # a page appears asking which file I would like to file.....both files that were filed appear with a check mark, but it still ask to netfile!
It is confusing, because althought I have seen the process and a congratulation you have successfully filed your return......this last screen is for what?????
this is the most important step, completion of filing, and produces confusion as far as I am concerned!

Still works really well
It is great to have this to count on every year, with all the past years data needed to take advantage of carry-forwards and the sort.
The one critique I have is the inability to do more that 30 stock transactions - last year I bought the premium version thinking it was more geared to investors, but it is not really that much better for me, so I summarize groups of transactions to fit it in.

One question that is never clarified
If one lives in a condo, they pay maintenance fees, which would have much the same components as rent (hydro, water, property maintenance, staffing, lighting etc.) Can one enter maintenance fees in the rent section? This would acknowledge that the property owner does indeed pay dwelling costs for energy and property maintenance, separate from but along side of property taxes. Can you clarify this for next year?
