Improved for 2013
If I compare TurboTax Basic to what I'd go through on paper, it has always been so much easier and I've used it and earlier versions for many years. However, 2013 was even better because the portion for at-home small business expense reporting was streamlined with less duplication. Nice work!

Turbo Tax Standard
It would be helpful if an easily accessible summary were available showing material tax return changes that are new in the current year. Also, some of the repetitive messages that come up again and again such as verifying your SIN number and date each time are intrusive. It would be good to have an option to exit this screen after saving a PDF copy. Manoeuvering around the program is sometimes a bit illogical but I guess you need to set it up for newcomers and that is why you do this. Otherwise, I have been using for 10 years now. I switched to another program during that time and switched right back again afterwards. I won't do that again.

errors
Program stopped working twice while doing Medical expenses. First time I lost almost everything, second time not so much. Save often to avoid losing everything.

Flexible
I like how easy it is to switch between husband and wife's forms.
I like how one can see instantly how changes to values and categories affects the end--the taxes due.

I wish, at the review stage, I could review a line number. The whole process is so quick that I need to see if a deduction has really been taken. I could review a form but how to review a line? Then at the NETFILE stage, it was too quick. I'm used to the old, long way of finding and recording the NETFILE file number and entering it in the correct place. I ask, "Has my return really been filed?" There is a confirmation number but ....

Goos help
Better than doing it by hand.However, I think they can make it simplier.
You still need to have some terms knowledge not to get really confused.
I had to do it 3 times and read over and over, before I could be sure all was correct.
However, at the end the objective was accomplished.

Tax Program
This year the turbo tax program was even easier than ever to use. The netfile process was easy and quicker. The only problem we had was with the carry overs from the previous year and had to manually input them.

Trouble with Donations & Carry forwards
I've used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and had never had any particular problems with any part of the program. It is always clear and intuitive. However, for the 2012 & 1013 returns, it seems something has changed in the way that donations, splitting and carry forwards are handled. I spent far too much time working through this and felt it had an awkwardness about it, that has been untypical of your product in general.

Satisfied overall
I've used this program for several years. The morphing the product has done to simplify and maximize ease of use is really great. Since I haven't used any other similar product I really have no comparison but as things stand I will continue to use this product.
Taxes take much less time with the help of this product.

Turbo Tax is OK
Like the AD, I still have tax pain, but Turbo Tax has been very good for doing mine, my wife's and 2 sons.
Liking the product for the 5th year.
(Netfiling is a WHOLE lot easier now, whatever you did...cudos!)

Very Helpful

I expected that the revised filing date of May 5th, 2014 would be part of the latest update. It still showed April 30th, 2014 as the deadline.
Other than that, I found it improved somewhat over previous years.

Review by Tax Pro well worth the money.

TEXT TOO SMALL!!
I have used Turbo Tax for years. Every year I complain how tiny the text is -- too difficult to read, and there is NO way to increase the text size unless you mess up your complete computer screen size setting - which is ridiculous.
