Bank interest
I am satisfied with Turbo Tax, although it did not seem to allocate bank interest from a joint account between my wife and myself. I entered the total amount and an allocation of 50% to my wife. It gave 50% to my wife, but 100% to me. Eventually I got around this by reporting one half for my wife and one half for myself.
I wonder if others have run into this.

Much improved
ON the whole worked better this year than last.
instructions don't necessarily give all necessary options
eg if chose to print no option to change mind
when offered using the claim for municipal house taxes doesn't explain that this to push off tax into future years. I expected it to be a reduction in taxes for the current year

Oddities
Using the step by step guide, I coud not enter income and pension amounts. I had to go to the individual forms and then come back to the step by step. I find this strange and reduces the ease of use considerably.

The main problem I found with TurboTax was that I was unable to return to the Provincial tax credit section to see if the disability credit for self was listed or used. I could check the federal return. I'm assuming that if it was used there, it was used on the provincial return.

Big help

I have used Turbo Tax/ Quick Tax for a very long time now and find it easy to use, however I have always had issues with reading the print mainly after entering the slip information to confirm the correct amounts - it appears in light blue text on a tan background - this is not easy on the eyes. And in more recent years it seems as if the print is getting smaller. I will admit that I wear glasses (always have) and have less than perfect vision, however I don't see any reason for making it harder to read. If you could darken the print and enlarge it as well I think you would appeal to a larger audience. Thank you.

I had to overwrite my CCA additions for class 10 in form T2042. It did not go to the main schedule that shows start of year, cost of additions, proceeds of disposition, etc. This happened last year as well, so the problem hasn't been fixed. I also do not claim CCA for the year if I have a loss. I do not like to have to overwrite information when I shouldn't have to.

one flaw found
Some fields are being ask again ion the warning even if you already answered it from the previous page. e,g Are you a Canadian Citizen? Also , unlike the online version it does not have the sub menu from the topic tabs.

One small glitch
Every year I enter an amount for the portion of my RRSP contribution to be repaid to the home buyers program. And every year my tax assessment comes back with an income adjustment to cover the home buyers plan repayment because for some reason the amount I entered didn't make it into the final product, I suppose.

Almost excellent
Works very well. Finds deductions that you may have forgotten about. A couple of minor quirks: when you click in a box on the T1 General and enter an amount, nothing appears in the box until you click on another box; cannot enter an amount in "installment payments".

Very good but annoying ads
I really like the program but there should be an option to remove the advertisements for additional support. At the very least ask once and give the option to skip that page when working on subsequent claims. Otherwise it is a great product.

Good to prepare your taxes
Everything is good until time of printing. The printing instructions are not good - often vague and can be confusing. I could not print individual forms when needed. Confusing.

Easiest Ever
I have been using TurboTax for many years.
Electronically, I am not the highest rung on the ladder.

Medical Receipts
Good product overall however the medical receipts are numbered when they entered. Then the number disappears when you get to the summary. I needed to confirm a few and had to scroll down while counting as I scrolled. If the entry number followed through to the summary, it would make verifying, if required. easier.

Good product
I use Turbotax every year. It's convenient. You get used to it. I wish the software allowed for automated splitting of realized gains with a spouse (like it does for income listed on T3's and T5's) but that's a small concern.
