Good product. Could have better help options.
Could have better explanations on filing tuition expenses for first year students at university or college. Not totally clear what will be needed, unless you have done it before. Definitely worth the cost of the software just to be able to netfile.

Investments
It could be more user friendly with investments and stocks. I always find this area the most difficult. There needs to be more guidance with the T5008 Statements and the entry into the Turbo tax system.

I REALLY DO NOT LIKE THE NEW AUTO SEND FOR SENDING THE RETURN VIA NETFILE. I PREFER THE CONVENIENCE OF BEING ABLE TO LOAD THE FILE MYSELF AND SUBMITTING IT WITH THE ACCESS CODE.

Easier wth knowledge
It's my first time purchasing software for income tax. Also it's my first time attempting to submit my taxes. I did have concerns when the outcome seemed strange, however it allows the user to backtrack at all levels. This makes it more comprehensive as you develop your tax knowledge. I'm satisfied.

Very poor rental property screens in the standard version. i.e. every time you need to edit a rental property you have to re-enter your ownership percent and your partners.
Also, always connects self employment income form T2125 even though my wife hasn't had self employment income for years.

done need 20 tax returns
the value for this product was fair ,but I don't need 20 tax returns on this CD, is there a turbo tax standard with less than 20 return?

Better than doing it alone!
I hate filling out forms, but with TurboTax I know I can always go back and correct or add/subtract in any part of the forms. And this year we didn't need a "code" in order to file, the gov't finally got a brain and allowed TurboTax to file for us. Definitely worth it. I know I only gave it 3 and 4 stars, but out of 5 that's pretty darn good in my books.

Best Telephone Help
by Kratika who patiently walke me through all the steps necessary to Netfile my taxes. The saving in a certain form is always problem bu sh was able to get around that.

Needs a little help
The product works well but when overrides are used the return cannot be net filed. I understand that you want to help users avoid errors, but overrides are sometimes necessary and are completely legitimate and legal. This should not prevent the use of the net file system in my opinion.

Good Produce
Easy to use and good for people who want to do their own taxes but do not have the expertise to use the forms. One comment: Could include the maximums for various credits, deductions etc. such as max income splitting amounts.

Good but there's a catch...
This software is very user friendly and good for reminding you of little things you may miss. However, if you bundle it with the quicken home software be warned that you will have to upgrade your quicken every 3 years whether you want to or not if you wish to use it to connect with your bank electronically.

Tax Program
There should be an easier way to move around the tax return once all information has been completed and you are in the verification stage. I.e. to change medical expenses is not easy and the input page is difficult to get to edit or delete a medical receipt.
Otherwise Turbo Tax is overall a good program. I like the ease of actually filing the return over previous years.

Good but could be more user-friendly
I have been using TurboTax (or its ancestor) for well over a decade. It is relatively easy to use but a couple of things woujld make it more user-friedly:
- it is difficult to find the place (what form? what line?) where capital losses of previous years could be used
- this year's TurboTax did not recognize my printer, asked me to "add" a printer but would not allow me to; so I had to create a pdf file and then print that

Getting better
Have been using Turbo Tax and its predessors for many years and it gets easier every year. Netfiling has finally been made effortless. Managed to get it on sale in February, but purchasing online should guarantee the lowest price which is not the case.

Great producet keeps getting better
This product makes doing one of those horrible tasks - doing tasks - a breeze. Each year it gets easier and easier to do. I have used this for 5+ years now, and will likely keep doing so for years to come.

Too many pop-ups
I've used Turbo Tax forever, but this year I noticed I kept getting popups to upsell the package, for wills, etc. Very annoying.

Helpful and oh so easy to use
I have used this for tax preparation for the past 4 years and have found it to be just great for getting both of our taxes prepared and sent.
In the past couple of years with both my wife and I being retired it has been very beneficial in helping to split our income for our benefit.
It also provides good advice on splitting other items like donations, medical etc.
I will definitely be getting the same product for 2014.

Disappointed
Everything went well until I went to use Netfile. It said I hade an override error. Clicked on "fix" and continued on. Same thing happened again. Tried again and got same result. Tried manual method--forms/edit/find and remove overrides. Clicked on "remove override" and went back to Netfile. Still indicated the error was there. Tried again and this time the box was greyed out indicating there were no more errors. Went back to try and file it again but got the same reply. This program was a waste of my time and money. Will not purchase again.
