The easiest software
I bought this software this year and it is the easiest software that I ever used. I know that a professional accountant will make my return in 15 minutes, but he does not care about maximizing my net return. Turbo tax gave me the freedom to apply different possible scenarios and to see for myself which one is best for me. I recommend it for everyone. Very easy to use and accurate.

Good but auto filing didn't work
The software worked great up until I had to Netfile. Something was wrong and I just had to "manually" Netfile. Also, a couple of weird screen flows at the end of filing which were odd in that after I Netfiled. it asked me if I wanted to Netfile again.

Great, so long as you don't change method!
We have been using Turbo Tax for years. Only problem is that some years we have done it online, and other years we have bought the CD. We discovered that since we did Turbo Tax online last year and bought the CD this year, it could not 'find' our personal info and import it (even though the .tax file was saved on the hard drive) so we had to enter everything again (dependents, etc.) What a pain! Great software, so long as you stick to either CD or online and don't switch. It would be nice if they could fix that...

Well-thought out program
I've used Turbo Tax for a few years now and each time it works quite well. It really simplifies reporting tax, while still allowing you to do advanced things by looking at all the forms if you need to.

GREAT LEARNING TOOL
I ENJOY DOING MY OWN TAXES, AS I LEARN WHAT FACTORS HAVE AN IMPACT ON ANY POTENTIAL TAX SAVINGS. MY ONLY CONCERN IS THAT PAYING FOR THE SOFTWARE DIRECT FROM INTUIT IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BUYING THE SOFTWARE AT A STORE.

Save valuable time??
Turbo Tax promotes the fact that you can "save valuable time" by importing your information from previous years. If this is fully true, why does it not also import the software registration information if it is unchanged from the previous year? This re-registration is a colossal waste of valuable time before one can even BEGIN to start preparing a return. Improve this aspect and I would consider higher ratings.

Had trouble sending
I could not sent the tax reports thru turbo tax, as it kicked me out, due to slow connection. Went thru the website and it worked fine.
May have had something due to their site being too busy at the end of April

Good value easy to use
The new user interface is different enough from previous years to be a little hard to follow.
I did like that a lot more was done behind the input screens making less input for the user.
I found it a time waster if I did not set a flag and wanted to check or change something as I had to go through the entire section again. If this was not necessary then I missed some instructions at the start as navigation seamed limited.

Annoying Sales Tactics
All the up sale attempts are annoying. It is intrusive like pop-up adds from spam companies so please stop doing it. It is fine to offer additional services upfront but not throughout the process, it just ticks me off. I am considering not using the product again because of this annoying marketing tactic.

A Bit Disappointing

Could not save file in TurboTax directory this year but apparently was able to save it there in all previous years since that's where each is presently located .... looks like I better quickly move them out of there for fear of losing them?

Found this year's to be better then last. Still stumbled over the personal part where it asks about income. The bullet where it asks about self employed and investment income should be separate because I have missed this twice now and have to go back to the beginning when I still have documents left when I'm through the first time. This year's ending was great! Thanks

East to Use
This was a very good product and I am very happy I bought it...the only trouble was trying to netfile at the end - the option was ghosted - once I read some helpful hint online I realized I needed to check for updates and restart my computer. Once that was done it was smooth sailing. Overall a good purchase. I would buy this again to process my taxes.

TurboTax Standard
Basically, an excellent product.
The main thing I would like to say about the Standard product is that the features on the back of the box are misleading. The standard version of Turbo Tax is perfectly fine to use if you have investments and rental property especially if you have been used to doing your taxes by hand. You do not have to buy the Premier form. Using TurboTax last year for the first time and after reading the back of the box, I thought I had to buy the Premier edition in order to report investment income, so I did. This year I bought the Standard form and found it was perfectly suitable to report investment income and capital gains/losses.
Improving the descriptions on the back of the box would be beneficial to many.

Would be better if there was a button on the form that would take you to where you left off, if you have to go back and correct something. Right now you have to go to the drop down menu boxes to find your original spot. Other than that all is well... Cheers
