Almost fully accurate
While the tax calculations are good, there are several spots in the software that give apparent glitches. One is in listing T3 dividend income, where the totals box shows the sum of 49 and 50, which is a meaningless number.
In another, there is an apparent error in rental property credit - it kept insisting on entering the property taxes paid, where the amount was 0. I had to skip the credit to Netfile - which is potentially going to cost me money.

its the small things you miss
overall 2013 is better but trying to do some of the little things are difficult. for example I filed 3 family returns myself my wife and my mothers. all are interconnected. it was relatively simple to print and net file 2 but to finish my mothers I had to redisplay her file from my computer. I regularly do all 3 workups until they are ready to file then save each one. When I go back to file them I should have the option of doing all 3 (they are interconnected) from one page. the next is you keep asking if I want to save/print my files. as long as I am entering new info to my forms that is fine but when I got to the ready to file page I saved and printed only to be told several more times that I had changed my file would I like to save/print again. do what you do at previous points and advise me that I will have another chance to do so and then that this is the last time. seems pickey doesn't it but I can tell you after doing 3 tax files my threshold for annoyance is very very low! as stated most of the main items are good but it's sometimes the little things we are annoyed with. just an add on --- below I'm retired and my kids are very grown up with kids of their own I'm proud of them all and if your asking about me please try to get all the important things.. I'm not grouchy just very very proud.

Very good but improvements required
Helpful software but requires improvement for Quebec residents. The handling of taxable benefit ( health insurance paid by the company of a retiree. relevé 1) is confusing because no employent deduction is applicable. Transfering the info from many T4RIFs and the T4AP in a single column of Relevé 2 is to say the least not professional, and makes the verification of the data entry difficult. I prefer to enter the T slips and when required the Relevé info directly, than use the Review. But I have been using it and its predecessors for many years and failed to find a better product.

The program was very easy to us. I like the new e-file system. I find that the amount of advertising within the program has increased yet again. I pay for the program so I don't have to deal with advertising but it is everywhere in the program. Very annoying

TurboTax is very helpful but the user must be aware that if s/he has special circumstances, the software will not know that. Therefore, user must read the tax guide and inform her/himself of all points that apply to her/his situation. In other words, the software is a tool but you still have to know your own income and deduction particulars.
The easy-step method is very basic and misses some points that would not necessarily apply to every user. The forms method requires too much research for the average user. I'm thinking out loud. I would like to see a combined easy-step/forms method.

Stress Free
I found the software easy to use, and quickly lost the level of stress I normally experience while filing my taxes. It was very straight-forward, and all the tips I used answered any questions I had clearly, and precisely.

If you have not filed a tax return by yourself before or are not sure as to where to input your information, then using the easy step would probably be very helpful. However, in my case, since I took a basic tax-hands-on class using ProFile, filing taxes with the forms were easier and less time consuming for me.
I would have liked the product more if, aside from the keyword search, there was a search for the line box number since it would be easier to look-up and review certain things. Overall, I would recommend this product to others and would probably use it the following years as well.

Makes doing your taxes easier
The program walks you through entering your tax information in a step-by-step manner simplifying an otherwise somewhat convoluted process. I particularly liked having the option to efile my taxes with Netfile.

Good navigation/resources
Pretty easy to navigate. If I needed clarification or more info, it was easy to find it right in the software. A lot of relevant FAQ on the side of the page you are filling in. Good explanations, easy to understand. Either I'm getting better at doing income taxes or the program has improved. Could be a bit of both...

Very easy to use
A very good product that uses a very understandable process to help file your return.
Excellent for when you connect returns like eligible dependents or transferring tuition costs. Saves lots of time.

Pretty handy program
I have really enjoyed using this program over the past few years. I have found that it is fairly easy to use, and quite user friendly. However, my husband started working on the taxes earlier in the week, and when I went to finish them, not everything was saved. It was a little frustrating to have to redo everything, but at least the program is easy to use, and didn't have any other issues.

You should improve
Please make transfers between returns of different people in the automatic. I am referring to things like tuition fee transfers, etc. It should not be difficult to create links between the relevant return such to allow automatic data transfers between fields. Or at least make the step by step much clearer and user friendly so one is warned right away about which amounts from one return have to appear where on the other return. Otherwise, to make sure that nothing is missed, one has to go form by form, which is time consuming and takes away completely the advantage of filling the returns fast and simple.

The program for a couple sharing credits is ambiguous as there are several credits to decide who should claim them. In the case of Capital Losses a Loss Carryback form was printed when in fact I wished to carry them forward.

Wish there was a Mac version
Program is good overall - however, I really wish there was a Mac version for the disks (yes, I realize there is an online version but I do not like to use online for my personal information). Really wish there was a Mac version of this software for installation for the Cdn taxes so that I no longer have to keep my PC!
