Much better than the online version
Every second year I get the store version, ever other year I seem to get the online version. The online version just isn't as good. I also can't get my return off the site. Junk!
I am giving myself a reminder to get the software version.. every.. year from now on.

Area to improve
Turbo tax is great and I have used it quite a few years now, except for this one area, which is to with Claiming credit for dependants. Which has always been unclear and confusing. E.g., I entered my parents as dependants and it would only as if I can confirm their income is zero. I can't in my case, since they do have some income, but may be I still can get some credit depending on the level? But the system never prompt me to enter their net incomes, rather I've to go into the form and enter them. But then since I said "No" to the question about if her income was zero, it suggested this was an error since I want to claime Amount for Eligible Dependent.

Who's return
In some cases/windows, when doing a combined spousal return, it doesn't indicate who's return it pertains to. The name of the person who's return it pertains should show in every window/page.

Poor guidance to pay taxes
I said to pay my taxes by credit card. Software took to a screen about "Plastiq" or something like PayPal? I still don't know how to pay my taxes. Now what do I do?

Capital Gains
My investment advisor sends me a list of cap gains/ losses that runs to 50 entries.TurboTax requires me to laboriousy hand enter each one of these. It takes a lot of time and is extremely annoying!!
Can somethig be done to make this easier?
How about just entering the totals as we do with charitable donations?

optimizing values
I have used the optimizer for donations, medical expenses and splitting pensions. Actual information when I applied my own plans was more to my advantage than the TurboTax suggestions. Find this unsettling.

no watermark on PDF
I did not ask for a watermark on the PDF so why is this forced on my copy ?
I really do not like this approach of forcing anything onto the PDF file.
Overall good product with a little love / tweaking will be a better product.

Takes the pain out of doing the taxes
Been using Intuit tax prep software for last 7 years. makes it really easy. My only beef is during the Easy Step process you often get "pop ups" asking if you want to subscribe to their other tax services. These pop ups are annoying because they interrupt the flow of what you are doing.

Easy Step is cumbersome
Easy Step takes the user to the beginning of each segment & requires the user to click through the entire section to get to the portion s/he wants to access. This is inconvenient.

Seamless!
As a busy working mother of young children with a husband who works out of town a lot, I don't get much opportunity to work on financial tasks without interruption! Thus I needed a simple time-effective solution to complete our taxes on. TurboxTax is it...I've been a faithful customer for a few years now and will continue. The only suggestion I have is that it would be great if they'd offer a better discount for returning customers. I haven't signed up for their automatic purchase service because I can get the CD cheaper at certain retailers as the tax season approaches.

Worth the Money
It was my first time and was time consuming, frustrating even at times. If you are patient and set aside time to use the software it is very good. Make sure you allow yourself time and your full attention or it can be frustrating.

Not too bad!
Not perfect, mind you, but not too bad either. I had a problem with the 'explanation' with regard to tuition (T2202). It says you cannot claim it if you got some moey from somewhere. Incorrect explanation! When one actulally reads the tax code, one sees how insufficient the direction given is. But overall, the program worked well, did my taxes in likity-split time. Acurately. I have gotten it for about 10 years, and will get it again next year. Told some friends who need tax software that 'this one is a guuddun'. I'm sure it will improve next year.

Good value and help with enquiries
Where other forms are hidden i.e. on t4A you need to double click to see the rest of page where you need to put info. In my case it was box 118 medical benefits and I spent ages trying to figure out how to enter.

Very good
I wish you would make the program so you could copy and paste. This would be very useful when you are filling out the medical information. It would also be nice to be able to cut and paste when you have entered the information in the wrong location.
Note: I keep asking you for this every year and you have NOT done it. This is why I DON'T rate your program higher.

TurboTax is easy to use. I do like the guided wizard.
The price could be a little lower.
Some user interface inconsistencies need to be remedied (e.g. Yes/No drop downs sometimes vs radio buttons)
