I like the program . it is very good. My only complaint is sly use of the continue button on some screens when you are trying to sell an upgrade or another product. The button to buy is visible but you need to scroll to find continue. Not needed for a quality product. Otherwise all good.

Small font
I would have given a higher rating except for the size of the font I had to work with. I am a senior with diabetes. I have problems reading anything with a small font size. I imagine there are a lot of seniors in this same predicament.

Longtime User
I have been using Turbo Tax and its predecessors for
many years and continue to find it to be the best value for money, currently available.
However, the following items continue to be a minor annoyance:
1. When "married" is selected, the program defaults to accepting the married exemption unless the spouses income exceeds the threshold. The user should be given the option to select Yes or No with regards to whether or not the spouse is exempt.
2. The Working Fund option always defaults to Yes even though, in my case, I do not have income from employment.

Turbotax 2013
Simultaneous filing for both spouses felt odd initially but ultimately useful. I liked how it assigned deductions to the correct spouse, e.g. fitness credit to the higher earner. A minor tax saving, but neat.
Some of the warnings, e.g. Film or fishing deductions are a bit ridiculous, but easily bypassed.
Program had trouble dealing with discrepancy in RRSP contributions, i.e. I over contributed by about $ 30 (my oversight), again resulting in dire warnings. Perhaps a simple message "... you have over contributed Yes/No..." would have sufficed. Maybe in the next editions the warnings could be graded as minor, moderate or serious?

Easy Step to Forms and Back again
I all ways get lost looking for the correct easy step answer to then be prompted to fill in the appropriate field. I think Navigation through ones tax return, on the easy step flow chart, should be live with clickable links....to move forward and back through this "Table of Contents" Having to run a search ever time is kind of annoying to jump back and forth etc.. Albeit, the search function usually works well to find the spot in easy step, or forms that one may be looking for.
The pushing of all the services....Audit defence, professional review etc...is annoying...if I wanted this wouldn't have bought quick tax/TurboTax, and instead hired an accountant.

Helpful software
I have used this product for the past four years. It is very user friendly. I can complete the entire process in just over an hour.
Although I do really like this program, I wish it was compatible with Apple computers and operating systems. I only have a MacBook, and I need to travel to my parent's house or borrow my boyfriend's computer to do my taxes.

Makes it easy to do taxes
The easy step method, is systematic, simple and thorough. The new netfile method is even easier to do than previous years.
I have use QuickTax/TurboTax for many years and have never had an error.
One negative this year is that the Charitable Donations optimizer did not work properly with a split retirement income. I had to manually figure out the optimal amounts.

Very user friendly

We could do without the upsell
offers in the middle of the process. People who buy the basic version of the program have already decided they don't want to buy the other products and services. Stop nagging us about them.

Near perfect
with only one concern. I found instruction somewhat confusing with the direction given on t-slips vs Help with regard to imputing shared/split earned interest and share %, when preparing returns for spouse and self. Specifically whether info had to be entered on both returns or not.

Improvement Suggestion
I would like to have the package open up and ask if anything has changed since last year instead of going through all the questions in the beginning each year. If nothing has changed then why ask all these questions each year. Then based on last year take you to the same things as were used last year. Of course if there are changes then customer can decide if the new things count. Otherwise no questions for users that continue to use this software each year.

continues to be useable
Using Turbo tax and predecessor for years it remains a good resource to get my taxes filed. I find the cost excessive for my own use as a couple though. I did note there is an online version available at less cost but I did not see what it offered and I am familiar with the disc loaded version. I also like that the program remains available on my computer for future reference and back up.
