Happy 2nd time user
Easy to install and use, just put your info or even import your info from last year's and click continue, continue and add your info as you go. At the end you can easily go back anywhere and modify or add other info. The biggest hassle is to collect all the receipts of the year, but you can even connect to the two governments and import most of your slips so that simplifies a lot of things to!

The amounts the taxpayer can claim for capital cost allowances should not be predetermined by the software at the maximum amount. Rather, I prefer that the taxpayer should be able to insert what amount she/he wishes up to the maximum amount she/he can claim without having to override a field.

Software Install - 2019 tax year
I missed a step on initial CD load - "the option to pull info from prior year(s)".... The impact - no comparative numbers at the end..... seems the option was shifted and I messed up/missed it........ not a huge thing but.... a suggestion is that perhaps the option be bolder/larger - in red perhaps....

easy to use
This is an excellent program, I have been using it for years. This is a great value for anyone to use even for small business. The only thing for small business is that it doesn't list industry codes, but they are simple to find on line.

Another Stress-free Tax Filing

good product
Mostly easy to use. However doing a deceased person's tax is not. The program is not tweaked to deal with this and you are in a loop of questions etc which do not pertain to this situation... and there is no escaping it even if you use manual input.
Using the auto download of the tax info is handy but to determine that everything is correct and not duplicated becomes quite tricky. You are also asked to repeat this info in another form and then it is hard to see if that info is being duplicated.
Also, getting a hard copy of your tax file for personal records creates an exhaustive pile of paper. No one knows what programs will run in the future, so hard copies may be the only way to prove historical information. I am thinking about estate issues where executors are unsure if taxes were submitted or paid and how to prove that if their can't access the electronic files or even know where those were stored.
