Easy to use
This was my first time filing electronically. I found it very easy to use. I used the paper forms and the program gave me a different amount. I found an error I made on the paper form.

Thumbs up new netfile procedure!
Helps in calculating income taxes a lot. Would not like doing it manual anymore. The new Net file is an excellent feature improvement!
It would be nice to have the optimizer screens by the input sections rather than in the review area. I also don't like it when the program keeps putting things like medical expenses and donations to the lower income screen when you go back after it was previously manually overridden to maximize the tax benefit. Why won't it or can't it automatically go to the maximum tax benefit and just stay there?

19 Years of Usage
Pretty good software. Sometimes not the easiest to decipher, but would rate it 8 out of 10.
Too heavy on the aggressive sales pitches. Hey, I am using your stuff. If I want more, I shall ask for it.
Have to have a good computer(enough RAM). Otherwise the program can completely screw up the computer. It did it to me. As stated, have used Turbo Tax and Can Tax now for 19 years.

Good Program
My only problem was finding the Provincial and the Federal worksheet information. Neither of these forms show up when I searched for them in the forms listing.
The completed data was there but nothing showing the calculation method.

first time user
I am not computer literate but found this fairly easy to use. One complaint is that the information bar down the right side is distracting and I couldn't see the whole of what I was entering information. Maybe there is a way to remove it that I don't know. I didn't like having to move the screen from side to side to read a sentence... Otherwise I will continue to use it and I am sure it will get easier..

Best Way to be accurate!
This is a very good program. It keeps things accurate and helps you remember important deductions. I do not, however, appreciate the advertising!!

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED
Well, the fonts still won't download to my work computer so I still can't get into the help links after 6 or 7 years of doing this. Still a bit of a bummer...BUTthe SUPER FAST EASE of NETfiling this year was AWESOME!!!
Couldn't be happier all those extra steps got cut out at the end.

This pgm is very useful especially when minimizing total tax for a couple.
In the summary display showing each spouse's data, it would be useful to show the combined data on the same screen.
Also identifying the amount of the OAS clawback, that results as income is shifted with the pension splitting, or investment(T5) percents. This would show the overall effect on the family income.

Good product.
This is a good product but it could be improved. The PDF was defaulted to print in landscape when it should have been portrait mode. It also printed capital gains and losses when I had none. I had entered detailed information about my medical receipts, but it didn't print any of the data I entered. I also wish it would show by year the charitable deductions I have input in previous years, but not claimed.

Good But Can Be Improved
I found the program to be quite good however I would suggest in the future that consideration be given to eliminate the 'Advice' section from every page (requires adjusting page width to read all of page). I would suggest a 'button' (named Advice) to be located on the page that can be accessed if necessary!

I am pleased with the product. I have one complaint - when I open review I expect to be able to go to the beginning but it takes me to the last place I worked, I never did find out how to get back to the beginning.

Good Product
I had a few problems with my disc version of TurboTax standard and had to request a download version which worked great. The Service Desk agents were great and really helped me out.
The software is easy to use (third year, used to do by hand) and did a wonderful job of getting me the best refund possible. Next year will use download version too.

Great surprise
I was thrilled to see the new easy way to Netfile, without going through that "save as . . ." step, which often needed redoing, and the file so saved could be hard to re-find for filing purposes. This is now GREAT!

Very Easy
Only thing I don't like is the automatic use of Internet Explorer - would be better if it was able to detect and use your default browser. I don't like I.E. due to its vulnerabilities and I hate having it open or even on my computer.

Good product, not the best service during tax time
This product is easy to use - walks you through everything with ease. However, if ou need help and have to email or call for assistance, be prepared to wait. I think they are understaffed considering it is tax time!

Easy and helpful
As per usual Turbo Tax was very helpful in dealing with all the questions that turn up at tax time. The only time I had a problem was when I had an unusual income to report at retirement time last year. Perhaps this is one condition that should be looked at and changed or handled differently. I have used this product for years and find it very good.
