Purchase well priced
The product is reasonably priced. As a first time user I was a little overwhelmed with all the forms but finally got it sorted. The online assistance was well worth it and I would buy this product again.

Turbo Tax Standard-solid product
Good Value. Completed 2 returns with minimal effort. Onboard help and forms are a great reference point.
The review process was very specific and covered all the bases. And the netfile is greatly improved over the previous method.

the only problem I had was that I receved a lump sum severence payment rolled it into RRSPs and was not able to netfile due to a netfile error. Please rectify this as businesses are doing away with this prgram and it will be more common next year.

2014 joint return
Turbo Tax Standard was easy to use and guided me through the entire net file preparation. With income splitting and other issues and deductions, it was excellent to have the program optimise the returns and also show the current refund or payable status.

TurboTax forms issues
Not bad but certainly some issues in jumping from one return to another if preparing spouse and yourself. Clicking back and forth between the two returns will sometimes confuse the program and you'll end up with figures from one return muysteriously appearing on your own.

Excellent tool for taxes
As a retired accountant, I only wish this product was around when I was in private practice. The one flaw I see is in the data entry forms for lists like medical expenses and donations.
The ability to enter in an excel like spreadsheet would make the product a lot more user friendly. Especially if one could use standard copy and paste functions.

problems
For the second year in a row I have had trouble running this program using Win7.It installs correctly and runs.When program is accessed a second time it will not run.Had to reinstall on a second laptop Win8 to be able to use.

Sale Price Missed
I pre-order Turbo Tax every year, but around the first week of February, all the stores put the product on sale for about $10 less. I wish I could take advantage of that offer!!

Reliable Year After Year
I can always count on Turbo Tax's reliability every year. The consistent look year to year makes each tax year easier and easier as you navigate through the program. This was the first year I used the "chat with a representative" option when I came across an issue, and I was chatting with a rep within 2 minutes, the issue was explained, and I was on my way shortly. Although I would of like to see a print option on the Netfile Confirmation Page (so that I have a physical document with the confirmation #), Netfiling was breeze this year (much quicker than in years past).

Not bad at all
Not bad at all but I do wish there was more helpful tips with special graphics that help you in what you're looking for. Also want an easy way to move the medical expenses forward to next year but it seems complicated. Oh well, all-in-all it was a good program. Will use again most likely.

Same product, more advertising
I've used Turbo tax for at least 10 years switching only once to Ufile. Turbo tax is fairly easy to use and provides common interface year after year. The only CON I can say is that there is significantly more advertising now in 2013 version within the easy steps and elsewhere in the program. Its like watching your favourite TV show with commercials at the important points. If there were an option to click OFF for all the adverts this app would get 5/5.

Standard Turbo Tax
This year's Turbo Tax was easier to use with linking to Netfile...great as that was an area that always confused me previously. Rest of the program is very similar and so I was familiar with it. I like it when the program does not change so much that you have to spend a lot of time relearning it. Nice to have a good product to rely on.

2 things to ck out
1) You should be able to print the page with the confirmation # on it.
2) "Working Income Tax Benefit" comes up and will print a blank form even though you answer the question in the Profile "Did you work?" with a "no".

Good, but ads within program annoying
The program works as intended and definitely made things simple - but ads in the middle of certain steps are extremely annoying. When paying for a product I shouldn't have to see ads within the program for other products.

Taxes done easily
Taxes were easy to do and suggestions by the program were accurate and useful. Allowed me to complete the taxes in a very short time. The refund window at the top made it very easy to determine if completing a section was worthwhile or not. Only problem I had was I had input an address wrong. I corrected it and when I reopened the file the error was still there. The program did not seem to take the correction easily. Corrected it again and everything seemed correct and filed. Upon checking again the printed copy the error again appeared. On the last tax I filed this aberration seems to have been fixed.

Easy to use
Easy to use but the help section is not very informative in my case. It automatically entered some data in the wrong area (it could have been placed in a couple areas) and was difficult to find out how to relocate to the correct place.
