Highly Recommended
I like this product, been using it for years. It is easy & quick. The only thing I wish is that there is a version for people who are visually impaired. I use magnification, but navigation can be a bit tricky at 5x. However, I still manage.

Straight forward filing
Have used tis product for a few years now and find it gets easier with practice. There are still a few areas that slow me down ie: tranferring of tuition amount from dependant to parent. I find the Federal/Provincial amounts get confusing. It's a great product for beginners and is definately better than doing taxes manually.

Easy to use, but too many ads
I've used turbo tax every year for several years now. It is easy to use, includes helpful tips and good explanations. I do find it an expensive option for people who only file one return...it seems as if I am paying extra to accommodate all of the extra returns that I don't use. I also do not appreciate the advertisements and efforts to "upsell" that pop up throughout the step by step process.

TurboTax likes IE
Only 1 single bad feature. Whenever it wants to visit the internet -- it selects Internet Explorer as the default browser even though my default was Google Chrome. It should select the user's default.

Very good but...
I have purchased TurboTax for 4 years now, always helpful. This year my Antivirus Software did detect a Trojan virus tho, so that was a little disturbing. But glad it was caught and able to use software.

I think this is the best year yet. Easy enuf to use, better then last year, still room for improvement though. Got myself stuck a couple of times, but not as bad as other years.

Annoying Ads

When filing tax returns between individuals. It is much easier entering one person at a time. Finding t slips and going from one person to another is fraustrating. I have been using turbo tax for years and combining the returns so they are entered at the same time was the worst change I have experienced.

the messages
1-although you have lots of space on the main screen, but still, some important messages get truncated, and cannot be read completely. unfortunately, I can't attach a screen shot here, I could show what I mean.
2-the whole "route" inside the software is almost perfect, but still needs to be fixed, specially the save and print section. it's a little bit confusing.
3- even this "Life Changes" question can be all of them !

Easier than expected
Great product for anyone who has some computer skills and do not want to pay a professional to do the work for you. There are prompts and warnings to help you through it successfully. There is also a help section which I found somewhat helpful but I was able to access the internet and find the answers I needed quicker. The layout is in a step-by-step process which makes the procedure run smoothly but it is difficult to see your past work especially if you have forgotten the title to what you wanted to look for but if you know you are going back, there is a flagging option.

Only One Problem
I love using Turbo Tax and my entire family and I have been using it for years. Last year I won a giveaway for the online version of the program and happily tried it out. This year, when I tried to go back to my preferred method (buying the program for PC and sharing the costs with family members who also use it) I discovered that all my previous year's carry forwards could not be transferred from the online version to the PC version. This was a big disappointment since it meant I had to manually enter information that other years has been at my fingertips instantly. However, this is the only real disappointment I have ever had with Turbo Tax so I am willing to overlook it. From now on, I will just stick with my preferred version of the program and not try out any new methods of preparing my taxes.

good product lots of advertising
We have used this product for approx. 10 years now and it has always done a great job of helping with our taxes. My one beef with it is that it is starting to allow too much advertising within the software. If I wanted all this protection I can check it out at the end. I don't need prompts all the way through asking.

Learning experience

Delivery to Netfile
your review caught something I missed, got an extra $60 back. Had trouble understanding how to deliver my taxes to Netfile. After about an hour or so and much reading, all was good and super easy. Next year will be sooooo much easier.

Quick and simple
I've used this program for a few years now and have had little to no issues. This year is the first I had a problem and it was actually due to my anti-virus software blocking the update. I followed the instructions from the website and it fixed the issue in no time. I will definitely continue to use this program.
